So, saw a photo on here of a Buell with a beaded seat cover. Who has used them and do they help?

The factory seat on my Versys is a nad killer. I had a Corbin seat on my XB and that helped. I just can't see shelling out nearly 600 bucks for one to fit the Versys.

I found an old Tiger Corbin seat for 50 bucks but lost out on it. Planned on fitting the foam from it to my OEM seat pan.

Improves airflow. Prevents monkey butt.

I modified a bead seat cover for a car to fit on Lil Red. It was much cooler to ride on. I have also used an Airhawk 2 cushion. Nice if you don't over inflate it. All the rage now is the mesh seat covers. Crusty likes them. I would like to modify an airhawk to use with a bucket of ice water and a two way pump to empty or fill it with cold water at will.

What is it that Mark G. used on his old DR650/400? THOSE were dang kewl seat products. Been thinking about a seat for the PC800 made from that material.

If it's the Blue S3 in the cope thread then that's mine. Those were great but I switched to a Sit & Fly seat cover. Look them up, much better than the beads.

I gave that seat cover to Crusty at WVBR.

That cover works really well. It made the ride home from the WVBR a lot more comfortable than I expected. The bonus is that it doesn't cost much. If you get one and don't like it, you only out about 10 bucks or so.

I'll be using mine whenever I do a long ride, now that I've tried it out.

The corporate internet nanny thinks sit&fly is porn or sumthin...

Looks the same as the cheaper ones you can get for 15 bucks.

I'll try both the beads and a mesh cover. The main thing is, I think this seat is too soft.

Can't stand bead seat covers. Tried in cars and on my Suzuki 1100 when "everyone told me they loved them for long rides". Horrible!

But that's just people are different. Maybe I'm just a tender seat. But I'd rather sit in sweat than beads.

Now, sheepskin! Wool pads? Awesome. The downside is when you ride all day in the rain and need to dry it with a fan hanging up or you get the horny Scot smell.

I'll have to try the mesh ones.

I talked to Crusty. The sit and fly is over a 1/4 inch thick.

I ordered a big one so I can fit my two piece seat by making two covers out of it.

I put the Sit & Fly on the Ulysses and love it. You have to cut the rear out of it to get the seat to latch and it's so thick I can barely get the triple tail to latch in the down position but it's worth it to me. I'd like to get one to fit the police saddle on the Geezer Glide. I have beads on it now but even though they help keep air movement going I still get a bit sore after a few hours. Both systems help keep your rain suit from leaking in the crotch.

This is all interesting, I have the Saddlemen that American Sport Bike used to sell with the crotch notch.
It's the most comfortable seat for distance I have ever ridden on.
I have tried beads-meh, sheep skin is comfy but an issue if you store outside.

I want a set of converti bars for my '25 2" would make a huge difference in comfort.

I purchased a “Wild Ass” air cushion this August for my XR. It’s the only aftermarket cushion (out of many that I’ve purchased) that actually works for me.

I sat four hours plus twice today on the Sit & Fly, rode 12 hours total. Sore all over, but not my butt.
