John. My mg/dl varies on a much wider range than that. Fasting should be 70-120. My operational range, when I'm happy, is +- 180. I was diagnosed with Type I at age 20, blood sugar at 864. I have tolerated 26. AFAIK, if you stay between 100-180, you're golden. | ||

Blood glucose means nothing unless it is high (indicating a severe problem--ie diabetes). You can have "normal" blood glucose with massive amounts of insulin being produced in order to shove the glucose into your cells. Insulin (specifically insulin resistance) is the root cause for all modern Western disease (including more and more direct links to cancer and Alzheimers/dementia). The bottom line is the majority of Americans (and any population eating the "standard American diet") have an abnormal insulin response to food, assuming that food has a typical glucose load. Get your insulin down plain and simple to avoid being sick for the last 20 years of your life and dying a miserable, drug-reliant, cogitative-declining death. Diet is by far the most effective way to reverse insulin resistance. Modifying your diet is free from both cost (although proper food will certainly cost more compared to dirt cheap carbs) and side-effects! Not to mention the bang for your buck as one solution will generally fix metabolic syndrome its accompanying diseases. Get off the carbs (specifically fructose and sugar), processed food, vegetable oils & throttle drinking way back. Your doctor will be blown away. You may have to fight your doc over the LDL in your lipid panel, but a little internet research and your knowledge will quickly exceed your doctor's if he/she is old-school (vast majority). Here is a link. Best 90 minutes you will spend. Watch it. It may save your life and/or make your healthspan much longer. Your potential caregivers will also appreciate it as well. A Rainy Wednesday Morning I’m a bit restless, this morning. The forecast is for scattered thunderstorms. The biggest items on my agenda are to vacuum the carpet and clean the bathroom floor. That will probably take all of 10 minutes. I slept well, last night and I’m feeling noticeably stronger than I have since this whole Covid thing began. I’m nowhere near my normal energy levels, but I’m in better shape than I have been in a few weeks. I’ve been thinking quite a bit about this WuFlu and how my perspective has changed. I really thought that a lot of the false information was politically driven. Actually; I still do. However; that doesn’t mean that the disease isn’t real. As sick as I got; I know it’s real. When I went to the ER, I had some serious thoughts that I might die from this. That’s how bad I felt. I hurt all over, I was dizzy and nauseous and I was so weak that I wasn’t sure I could walk the 20 feet or so to the desk in the ER from the door. Then I had to sit down before I passed out. The hospital installed me in a little cubby, and that’s where I stayed all day until they trundled me and my bed up to my room late that afternoon. (I’d like to get one of those beds; they’re very comfortable. Even more comfortable than my recliner!) The whole time I was hospitalized, I was infused with all kinds of anti-virals, anti-bacterials, steroids, and who knows what else. I was given drugs that the internet says are animal drugs. I was given one drug that I had to sign permission for because it wasn’t specifically an anti-Covid drug. I just did what the Doctors, Nurses and Technicians said I should do. And the treatment worked. I’m home and recovering. I had a long discussion with a Breathing Therapist who made a lot of sense. He had the bug last winter and took all the appropriate drugs and recovered fairly quickly. He also got the vaccine. I didn’t question which one. His point was that if I get the vaccine, I’ll probably be sick for about 12 hours. But if I don’t get the vaccine and the WuFlu comes back, I’ll be back in the hospital for another two weeks. he also said that I should wait the full six weeks after quarantine before getting the first shot. And to prove he was putting his money where his mouth is; he told me that he plans to have his two 10 year old daughters vaccinated as soon as the kids vaccine becomes available. I’ve read about the Nanites that Bill Gates supposedly had mixed into the vaccine. I guess so we’ll all buy more Microsoft stock. Or Somethin’. I’ve also read all the theories about Big Pharma making a $killing$ over these drugs, and that Hydroxychloroquine treatment alone should do the trick. That may be true; I’m not an expert on medicine. However; the Therapist went to school for almost a decade to learn his skills. I think his opinion is a bit more reasoned and carries more weight than some jamoke who read about the dangers on Farcebook or Twatter and “Knows” the Truth. I believe that Covid 19 is real and it’s an ass kicker. It definitely kicked my ass and it’s going to be a while before I’m fully recovered. And while I’ve had bad results with Flu vaccines in the past, I plan to get vaccinated in about 5 1/2 weeks from now. Only those who have been burned believe in the fire. | ||

Doctors not PC but using the best information they can get. And the "animal drugs" are actually human drugs that for some twisted reason the Media lies about. It's so obvious there's a vast conspiracy, but the pundits on both sides have it wrong. My Opinion is the Left just lies. That's based on past performance, and their own book. The Right seems to just be mixed up on which group of designated bad guys are to blame, including the Big Pharma boogeyman the Left blames for everything. You'd think that when you find yourself parroting the other sides conspiracy theories you bought the wrong propaganda. You'd think... I have no doubt there's corruption with a multibillion dollar industry. The smart ones donate to both sides to be sure they get the outcome they want. ( unlike my Union which gets screwed when the other guys win, and when their choice wins, they're still screwed because their choice sees no reason to please the "sure thing, they're a lock" groups they think they own. ( you only seduce what you don't have ) ) Big Pharma, Big Energy, Big whatever, might indeed have villains. Big China and Big Islam and Big Government and...are however, time tested proven baddies. Perhaps it's perspective. Chicken Little is right and wrong. The sky is fine. The rain of flaming rock falling next to the active volcano is real, though, and people are dying. Understanding that difference isn't that hard. But when one group tells you the sky will kill you and another insists the burning village is a hoax, you should know they're both wrong. Leaving you with an serious trust problem. | ||

The virus (and all pathogens) attack vulnerabilities. It's quite obvious the metabolically compromised have the most vulnerabilities, hence they are hit the hardest. Big Pharma, Big Food and Big Medical have NO interest in YOUR health, because healthy people make them WAY less money. Not too mention the food pyramid is completely upside down, which has driven metabolic syndrome and it's inevitable diseases thru the roof the last 50 years. Do your think your doctor thinks about or even realizes about the affect of that statin on your immune system? Probably not even a fleeting thought (and he/she is likely not even aware that LDL is an important part of the immune response.) Wonder how many statin takers have died from Covid because their immune system was compromised by the statin? We will never know unfortunately. Bottom line--Do your own research and take control of your own health. |
