Local dealer got some in. Sells them with luggage already attached. $6,800.oo before tax out the door. Lighter than a Uly XT. 4 more inches of suspension. Almost identical seat height. 1/4 the horse pers. I sat on it. I like it. I just need to make some luck. | ||

I usually try for mentioning a blessing I have received and look for the silver lining when the day is cloudy. I repaired a desk over the weekend to sale at my SIL's furniture store. I went there to drop it off today, not remembering that she has been closed on Monday for a while. I have a Red Lobster card and decided that it could be treat day. I usually get the Shrimp Trio. It is $2.00 more than the all you can eat shrimp on Monday deal. At $19.99 what is two bucks? I eat there by myself and have tipped $10 on each of my last 6 visits. I have always been seated promptly by a joyful greeter. Same today. Then after 10 minutes of waiting to meet my waiter/waitress, I got up left and went home and cooked lunch. I called the manager after I was calmed down. As much as I like a great dining experience, I'm appalled when the ball is dropped. It will be a while till I give them a chance at ruining what had become a great experience that I looked forward to and would even act like I was going out on a date even though I was alone. The first four letters in waiter and waitress explains their duty, not mine. I will scrutinize the automatic $10 tip I have always left in the past. I would not enter the door of the establishment without a $10 in my left pocket for service. I had never considered less and did not break the 10 into ones or fives. That may well change. | ||

I don't go to a sit down restaurant very often, but when I do, I do want and expect a good experience. A poor experience is a downer, and one I remember for awhile. I consider myself a good tipper. If the service is good I leave at least 25% if not more. If the service is bad I leave 15%, and give the establishment another chance. If the restaurant service is really bad, I will still give 10%, but do not return. I do love me some water breathing bugs... | ||

Dammit man! Darden has really screwed the pooch and jumped the shark with that one. Sorry to hear that. Independent restaurants are my instinctive go-to's. I took M to Three Rivers Market today, on the way back from north Knoxvegas. I had a fantastic falafel combo with stuffed grape leaves and a quinoa mix, she had a pork sandwich with a Flour Head local bun. $15, including two cans of Liquid Death. Yummy all around.  | ||

King's Ribs on west 16th street. Ribs and slaw with a water. Not bad, but velvet and Jim has it over them.  Full tank on cool down at home. Had a lovely ride about today.  I made it below 200 pounds this morning, 199.2 . Still workin' on it boss.  | ||

What do you think of a $32 battery? LilRed's battery tested at 34%. Internal impedance backed up that number. So after looking at a few batteries and thinking, I decided to find the cheapest battery I could. I am going to put a battery disconnecter on the negative terminal. To be fair the VR I replaced probably fried the old battery. I'm contemplating a bank of lipo batteries. In the mean time I have riding to do. Should be here on the 3rd.  | ||

Under the category of lucky, last Thursday I was extremely fortunate to come across a flyer for a free dental clinic. I'd had a pretty good amount of tooth pain in a few of my teeth for awhile. But with no money to go to the dentist, there wasn't much I could do besides lather on the orajel. The dentist yanked out a total of four. My upper two wisdom teeth, and the two in front of them. And where did I come across this flyer.... Facebook. Yes, I caved after two+ months and decided to log on. And there it was. A post on the Village info page, free dental and medical clinic on Saturday. Two days later I was in the chair being taken care of. God sometimes works in unthought of ways. | ||

This morning I woke up early. So, I went up in the attic. I placed plywood on the rafters shortly after moving in and they have accumulated no end of junk. I found the box that the pull down stairs came in. It was first to go. Then more empty boxes followed. Hoarder didn't want to throw away cardboard, You know? If I can sort a box or three a week, I may be done up there by Christmas. I collect way too much. |
