I'd love to see a biography of the man if available. Wow. We watched Gran Torino yesterday, with family that hadn't seen it. I'd forgotten that in the movie Walt had been a Korean War veteran. So was my dad... he never spoke of it. I've always wondered who I might have been had I been allowed a life like that... medical issues early on put a kibosh on those prospects for me. Blue line, red line, green line, camo line... bless them all.
