Odd... no thread on this? I sat down and watched the whole thing in one sitting (well... I did get up twice to answer nature's calls but that's the advantage of streaming at home; I can hit the "Pause" button). I really enjoyed this, it was far more coherent than "Josstice League" that hit the theaters in 2017. More back story and it just flowed better.

I think on the next rainy day I'm just going to do a "Snyderthon" starting with "Man of Steel" then on to "Batman v Superman" and finishing up with "Zack Snyder's Justice League."

Thanks to the pandemic and Doordash, I don't have to worry about cooking either. Just get my favorite restaurant items delivered (and that "pause" button will get even more use).

I watched the movie in 2017 and I see no reason to watch it again.

I’ve heard the same: This one is good, the other one stank. I like Josh’s stuff (firefly) but man, he blew this one. I’m going to watch it this weekend on HBO.

Tpehak, it is a COMPLETELY different movie.

I saw the comparison on YouTube, it is the same movie, just different scenes edits, some extra footage and prolonged scenes.

If I would not watched the short version I would watch the long version, but I already saw the short version.

Thanks for the heads up. I might hit the tiny town theater in the country, with real popcorn. They need the income.

Seriously? You've got a theater in your town showing this on the big screen? I'm jealous. I have a 65" TV with home theater sound system but there's nothing quite like seeing a "larger than life" movie like this on a big screen. It was actually filmed for IMAX but that's hoping for a little too much...

Only problem with a four hour movie in a theater is there is no "pause" button when you need to get up and pee... that is the one advantage to streaming it at home.

They used to have intermissions. Holdover from live theater, before the advent of the 128 oz soda. It’s something that should be reconstituted for these long films.

The greatest movie review of All Time...

From the online Comic strip PVP, a reporter outside The theater showing The Return Of The King, asks "how was the movie?".

Several characters respond with wordless noises like " uh? ", but one says...

" The movie's so good there's no good place to go pee"

The movie is so long you might want to go poo, not only pee.

I think modern movie theaters should have chairs with integrated urinating system. Just like chairs for aircraft pilots, you just stick your pee in the urinating hole and enjoy the movie.

My friend and I were proud of the fact we made it through "Avengers: End Game" without having to take a break but we made a beeline for the exits as soon as the credits rolled (we knew beforehand there was no post-credits scene).

I don't think we could've made it that extra hour for ZSJL.

I no longer buy food and drink at the theater, not because of the price, but because that stuff goes right through me. The last hour of end game was torture. Learned my lesson.

Lousy weather predicted here for Sunday so no riding. Good a day as any to veg in the "Man Cave." Maybe I'll even fire up the movie theater style popcorn machine I got as a Christmas present a couple of years ago to add to the ambiance...

"Snyderthon" complete. You know, when you watch them back to back as I just did, you can see Zack had an actual PLAN in his movies. They just flow from one to the other.

The destruction of Metropolis at the end of "Man of Steel" leads into "Batman v Superman" and the death of Superman at the end of that one triggers the events in "Zack Snyder's Justice League."

That wasn't evident in "Josstice League" which largely ignored a LOT of the setup from the first two movies. I'm glad Zack got to see his vision finally get released and I'm hoping the "#RestoreTheSnyderverse" movement in social media gains some traction with Warner Brothers.

I thought it was much better. One thing that bothered me about the first one was the way the flash was portrayed. He was not a cowardly bitch in the Snyder version. Much better. Though I think the 4:3 format was a mistake.

It WAS a bit of strange watching "Man of Steel" and "Batman v Superman" and then suddenly seeing the format change. In fairness, it was originally shot for IMAX but they really should've adjusted once they realized it would only be released on a streaming platform. Oh well... as someone once said: "It is what it is..."
