I loved my 1999 model, and can't help but wonder what it would be like to ride one two generations up from it. It has EFI, ABS, a host of other upgrades, and perhaps most importantly, a new redesigned Doohickey! It's still a KLR at heart though, which means it's budget friendly compared to a lot of other adventure bikes. I'd love to have one. Or a KTM Super Adventure R. Wet weight is less than 400 lbs. They offer a 790 if you need more power. Wet weight is around 460 lbs. More power, etc. It's a really, really nice bike. If I was in the market for a true middle weight, and planned to do quite a bit of off road roaming, it would be the 890 Adventure R. That said, I still rather go all the way to the top of the mountain with the 1290 Adventure R, or just cruise along on the KLR650. Squids, That Motto Guzzi is a nice bike. It's a looker for sure. Seems to fall right into that middle weight category. It seems like it has good on road manners, with just enough off road chops to get by.
