It was great to see everyone. I was about to say I had a blast but in a Buell group that has a whole different meaning. A great weekend. I was very impressed with the way Froggy was slinging that big ol wing around the mountains. Till next time

Zac, you are correct about the "sand" in Panama City. i now live about 30 miles west of there. it's actually quartz, not sand... and it is impressive.... |

Back home and back to work. Really had a great time. The weekend went by too quickly. Weather was great (if not a little cold for this Floridian). But I'll take cool and sunny over rain any day. Had light rain for the last 200 miles of my ride home. So...what are the dates for Buelltoberfest 2021? |

LOL. Same scale. I was startled. I want to go on a Jim's ribs diet. I've turned into quite the porker. |

Love the bike Brad. How's it ride in the twisties? Really great example, I haven't seen one in years. The last one I saw, the owner had a mountain scene painted, one scene 360 around the bike. It was something. |

The last time I saw one, it was white and the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man was using it to escape from the Ghostbusters. |

one scene 360 around the bike. I'd love to see that... I couldn't find that one, but this one popped up in a search: This bike really lends itself to a custom paint job like no other... |

"How's it ride in the twisties?" Dave,I waved him by on hwy 75 north of Helen.he looked like he was having a load of fun!But then maybe that's why he ran out of gas, having too much fun! "I've looked at them with an eye towards camper/cruiser." Ourdee, just watch your MPG if the campground is very far of the beaten path.

Was there some sort of fuel-related issue? I can't seem to recall... (Message edited by pwnzor on October 07, 2020) |

I think I heard that the firewood was wet, wasn't some kind of fuel used to help start the fire? |

Maybe seafoam can help with a fire, I think we have tried every other fluid at this point |

Seafoam is is 40-60% Pale Oil (CAS 64742-54-7), 25-35% Naphtha, and 10-20% Isopropyl Alcohol "IPA". All flamable. It will make a PC 800 smell like an old Ford truck. |

I like old Ford trucks,I like the way they smell, but I don't think I'd like following a PC thinking I was following an old Ford truck and never finding it. |

I hit the scales and did not gain an ounce. I'd be willing to bet that Froggy won't be able to say the same thing, once he returns from his gluttonous, culinary tour... |

You guys talking about my good buddy BIG FRANK?! As far as Brad on the PC, I waived him by too! All weekend I was not comfortable going into the corners. I had to slow down quite a bit. RD and I talked about this and he claimed I had Illinois tire syndrome! Upon my return home, while the bike was on the trailer, I looked hard at the rear tire. It's a Michelin Pilot Road 4. It's a dual compound tire and you can see where the compounds change. It's left an edge. The soft compound starts about an inch and a half from the lip. It's worn in that area but the hard compound isn't very worn up to that point even though it's bald in the middle. So as I was going into the corner it would ride up on that "peak" and get squirrelly. So my Scottish heritage was making me get my money's worth out of a tire but really screwed with my riding. Not worth it!! Lesson learned. (Message edited by tootal on October 08, 2020) |

I have a bad habit of running my tires way to long. It got me a few years ago when Lee and I were on the way up to TWO and I got a flat .. Mike saved the day. You would think I would learn .. but no. Years ago I wore a PR? something down so far the transition from center to edge was no good. A few weeks ago I was about to leave the office and it started to rain. It was at that point I remembered I had a slick for a front tire. In looking for the photo I found some wayyyy back photos of our times at TWO. Will post a few if anyone would like to see em.
