Like others here, I fear & predict that some mob will get shot up by a terrified intended victim, and that will be used as an excuse... And I say that as a melee combat student that understands the only way to prevent being beaten ( or killed ) is to run, ( see 17 year old survivor & his narrow escape ) or brutally demolish enough attackers to scare a howling mob away when their blood is up. In the real world for all of history, that means piles of bleeding bodies and a slim chance of survival. It can be done, but it's rare enough that tales of such things are noteworthy. ( far outnumbered by easily forgettable bare accounts of folk found dead with no witnesses to their last horrific moments ) And mindset of the Mob makes a "successful" ( meaning going to trial for murder ) defense even less likely. They are riding a wave of adrenaline and invincibility. They are protected from harm or responsibility or consequences by rich sponsors ( like the Dem Veep candidate's fund raiser ) and Dem Mayors. ( a major RICO violation? ) So you'd have to be utterly "disproportionate" in violence to break their will & make them run. Not a happy thought. | ||

Imagine what will happen if those protesters will have access to Definitely hyperbole. But who needs nukes? You've got a fire hazard/attractive nuisance just waiting to be used. It's not the method for New York or Michigan, but annual forest fire conditions ( well understood ) and eco-stupid forestry management makes the West coast an easy mass casualty opportunity. The Japanese balloon bomb incendiary attacks were actually a success from a dollar spent per damage done perspective. The U.S. made them super-don't -publish-secret to discourage the continuation of the fire setting gizmos. But the TARGET was lumber. The 21st century reality is terrorism strikes soft targets & goes for mass casualties for psych reasons. Bedroom communities seem to qualify. | ||
