Would like some input on this. If you have a Buell up for sale and it needs tires. Do you A)Put tires on.B)Advertise its as is or. C)Include puttin on the buyers choice of tires...I'm inclined to go with C, but I'm a long time wrench plus it gives the buyer a chance to burn it down,lol..I got a Cyclone am thinkin about puttin on the block before i buy a Paughco SLP bobber frame. I'm too long legged to ride the M2 any distance no matter how quick I can get there... |

As-is. I have always changed tires on used bikes immediately, no matter how good they looked. |

I agree with as is. They get choice on their dime. |

Agreed, let them put on what they want. Just price it accordingly. |

Just make sure you use the right motorcycle for your tires. |

When I bought my 09' XT from Slowride, it needed tires. I split the cost of a new set if tires and he put on my choice of tire. It worked well for me and I think him. |

Leave them and price accordingly. It's also a clue to the buyer how it was ridden. I'd rather choose my own tires for how I'm going to ride it, than deal with the cheapest new tires the PO can find. I keep a set of good condition used tires around in case I get a bike where they are shot to crap and I'm not ready to buy a new set for it yet |

I'll amend my statement a bit... if one of the tires is unsafe, then replace it with a cheapo tire if necessary. Other than that, let the next guy worry about it. |

Lots of people looking at vehicles just look to see if there is tread left. In that I agree with Matthew. |

When I replace motorcycle on my tires I always look at how much gasoline in the gas tank left. When I buy used tires I always replace motorcycle. Hell, even if I would buy new tires from dealer with 0 miles on motorcycle odometer I would replace this motorcycle anyway, better be safe than sorry. (Message edited by TPEHAK on August 25, 2020) |

Does anyone but me always wonder what the heyull brand of TP is best to handle such bullshit? On multiple threads? I'm not a farmer or anything, but the last I knew, bulls don't use TP. So I would have to say you posed a trick question. Did I get it right? |

dunno if somebody is practicing their smart aleck lessons or think they are funny, but its obvious that as always more opinions are better than one, and too many cooks spoil the soup so the dumbasses that chimed in take note of and ya'll that shed light since the tires do have some roll left, thanks, I am goin to leave be and give the next owner options. I would list it here but my local rep and the way the bike is ,I already have folks waitin to hear that I"M happy with it to let it go..delete this post |
