Anyone going next weekend? I know the covid has it all screwed up and it looks like getting tickets at the gate is your best chance, but I've only taken one bike trip this year and I'm jonesin. Think I might ride over for friday (shouldn't be an issue to get into that since attendance is usually lower) and play the rest of the weekend by ear. Maybe shoot up to Minn for the buell meet on saturday if the mile is a bust. Let me know |

I don't think anyone is going next week-end. Now, the weekend after next is another story. You're a week early brother. https://www.springfieldmile.org/ |

I've had my tickets since last February. There will be four points paying events on Labor Day weekend. There will be two Singles Mains on the Short Track on Friday (Sept. 4) night, plus the Miles on Saturday (Sept. 5)and Sunday (Sept. 6). I went to the Miles in Indianapolis on Friday and last night, and while the stands were less than 1/2 full because of Covid Prevention measures, the racing was very intense. The anti virus measures that I saw were a questionnaire and temperature check before I could get into the Fairgrounds, limited seating in the stands. Every other row was marked Do Not Sit and the Security People enforced that. Masks were mandatory, though I was able to take mine off when I was seated. If I got up to go anywhere, I had to be wearing one. They had disinfectant available in many places and the bathrooms were cleaned constantly. I expect that the situation in Springfield will be similar. |
