I hope Pence isn’t too much of a nice guy with the Dem vp candidate in the debates. He needs to be upfront with the reality that Slow Joe won’t finish his term and make the opponent declare positions on freedom issues to make the choice very clear. | ||

I think most of them have finally been disabused of the notion that the various arms of the democrat party (press, academia, entertainment, Soros inc. etc.) will be nice to them if they cower when confronted. Thank God for Andrew Breitbart, who showed them the way. I still think his death was suspicious. | ||

Remember though - AOC was a surprise to everyone. She's a puppet. SOMEONE is behind the curtain, pulling the strings. Yes, she won the D primary...but hopefully the GOP fields someone who kicks her ass. I hold to the hope that Conservatives simply aren't responding to these polls that show "Biden would win if the election were today", and we're going to hit 'em out of the clear blue sky like we did back in '16. We HAVE to. Or every monument in DC will be destroyed by Valentine's Day. And...those are just the SYMBOLS of what this country stands for - our actual beliefs won't be far behind. His VICE-president running mate will be the REAL candidate, under the radar, and Just Joe will end up putting three rounds in the back of his own head shortly after taking office. First, I think R voters ( as opposed to Party Leadership ) are fully aware that polls can be biased, and alphabet fake news company polls are definitely faked, so they aren't discouraged from voting by them. But might get complacent and not bother if they think it's a landslide. Second, I WANT Democrat Voters to be complacent and not bother to show up. ( because I don't want Hillary/Michelle/token black female communist to win ) Third, confusion to the enemy! Fourth... I want to watch the Fredos of Media cry and suffer significant emotional shock. They torque me off. ( media malpractice kills ) So... My advice is to not let polls influence your voting, or emotional well being. They're probably skewed by folk who, like me, want to watch crying pundits on election night again. Schadenfreude isn't pretty, but justified in today's post morality world, imho. | ||

The Democrats are really stupid. They pick a candidate who, on his best day, seems to forget where he is or what he is talking about. And now they want to choose a running mate who could very quickly become the President, not on qualifications, but on gender and skin color. You'd think they would recognize that there might be some independents looking for a reason to vote for Biden but want to know the VP pick is really strong to lessens worries around Biden's mental health. Instead they want to pick someone to pander to a base that would already vote for Biden. | ||

Good point. A VP, based on gender or race, won’t likely add a single vote to the Biden total. Does anyone have a LEGITIMATE history of the Democratic Party. I heard someone say today it’s basis was on promoting slavery and they were solidly against everything effort to free slaves. I didn’t know how bad Susan B. Anthony was until today and it’s odd that women pushed so hard to get her on a coin. We certainly live in odd times. | ||

I'm sure there were hundreds of Democrat voters in every town from Bangor to Key West that didn't profit from, or were in favor of slavery. But the basic data points are that the Confederacy was run by Dems, the Klan was the Democrat Party action arm, and the Dems wrote Jim Crow laws. Democrat W. Wilson segregated the U.S. military by decree. And the magical, mythological transformation of the Klan Party to pro black advancement, while the Abolitionist Party suddenly became the racists?  I've heard that "Then all the racist Democrats in the South magically became Republicans" mythology spouted about Goldwater, Nixon, Reagan, Bush, Bush, and Trump. It's true that many Christian abolitionist southern Dems did vote for Republican Presidents since Goldwater. Meanwhile the majority party since WW2 ( except '47-49, until Clinton ) can't be called pro slavery, except for the crappy inner city schools, welfare systems, and drugs laws. Which I might argue shows a horrible, racist, Urban Plantation attitude. But few advocated for actually restoring the slave markets.  Hypothetical question. Although generally speaking, a agricultural slave owning culture doesn't educate their slaves well enough to be highly productive in a technological industrial setting. But the fear that the Abolitionist Republicans would abolish slavery certainly was a, if not the, major cause in the effect of the Civil War. As you can see from the dates in the listing in the above link, the South rebelled when the Dems fell out of power, and you might consider that there's a strong echo in today's Federal government of that kind of sore loser attitude in the ongoing war against Trump. Elites in power a long time, and 1949-1997 counts, ( even more than 1837-1860 ) tend to consider their power The Natural Order Of Things, showing that History sure do rhyme. | ||
