So, I've had a big day. Got a new job, took celebratory surprise lunch to M (after her break ran an hour late), took my Basenji to the vet for an assessment and nail trim, then I get back this afternoon, packages left on patio. I'd forgotten what all I'd ordered- vacuum cleaner bags, check. A new CD copy of Herbie Hancock's "The New Standard", check. And... ???  American Sport Bike sent me some new handlebar grips. Nice ones. I've been CrustyPunked. Thank you John! Hmmmm.... I don't believe in something for nothing. BOLO  Heck, I've still got a haircut appointment at 630. What a day. Thanks again, Crusticle. Yep, I got a CARE package today also! Looking forward to cooking soon! Thanks Crusty! I found out my barber was still cutting hair. I made an appointment and drove up to an empty parking lot and a closed sign in the window. I parked at the parking lot next door and walked over to find the door unlocked and two barbers eating pizza! I asked why he was still open and he said he heard something on the news about barbershops not being essential but you can't trust the news anymore! The State never sent me any notice so I figured it was Fake News!! | ||

Haircut was surreal. I'm within walking distance, so, 2 minutes driving. He had ran 30 minutes behind, because a new client was a chatterbox. I mentioned after my cut that you could take hairspray and a lighter and fix that. No hand hair dryers, because... ? I wore my mask, as did he, he was having to step outside to just breathe, which I completely understand. I lived with asthma for the first half of my life, just thinking about it takes me back. Anyhoo, a lot of hair's gone, he made a judgement as to how all that hair would work best, I tipped him properly for both me and M. It bears repeating...
