Aesquire, Thanks for that. Islam is considered an Abrahamic religion and as such Muslims worship One God, but of course this doesn't mean that they have the same understanding of God. Nestorianism was a main influence on Muhammad and the Quran. Because of this, Muslims understand God from a Nestorian perspective. Blake, I agree that Christians and Jews worship the same God and the latter having an incomplete understanding of God. I also agree that there is incompatibility between the descriptions of Allah and the Biblical God. Jesus' most important commandment from Mark 12:28-29: One of the teachers of the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?" "The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Cohen's speech gets mixed reviews from me. Up front, I'm not a Fan. But my issues are simply with content. I agree on some things, disagree on others, and vehemently oppose his calls for censorship. Just observing Europe and China as they deal with unconstrained speech tells you why. China is indulging in the totalitarian control of dissent, using Social Media as full Social Control. As with Social Justice, the word Social means decreed by a self appointed Elite. But while Justice is utterly lacking, Control is quite real. In Europe it was predictable that the Left would seek to silence their opposition, in the interests of perpetual, ever increasing, power. I assume Bernie has the same motivation as he attacks the Czar of Facebook, which apparently has offended his sense of entitlement by being microscopically less censoring of centrist views the last few months. ( no doubt in response to legitimate complaints of massive bias and censorship, and threatened litigation to break up his apparent monopoly ) It is typical that a company like Facebook should be under attack from Europe on being unconstrained, from the United States for being too constrained, and from China for not being owned and controlled by the Party. The only path that preserves freedom would be to fulfill the promise of Platform, and reject any censorship, perhaps with appropriate cooperation with legitimate law enforcement to fight terrorist cells. Although determining what law enforcement agencies are legitimate is a quandary of it's own. | ||

Patches, The Noahide laws, signed or unsigned, are not a huge reason for concern. What is a reason for concern is ADL's management, as Aesquire mentioned. The ADL is an anti-bigotry organisation, but they have become bigots themselves. It's one of those life's ironies. Aesquire, Definitely, determining their legitimacy is a quandary.
