Let me see; Hero screwed Honda. Then Hero really screwed EBR. Now, the MoFoCo is going to get involved with them?

That might be worse than buying MV Agusta and then giving it away, all while shutting down a profitable company called BUELL! |

Hey; if they do get involved with Hero, then they'll have a REAL opportunity to be embarrassed! |

I’m hoping they stick their arm in the “Hero Machine”..... once Hero gets hold of them Wandell’s wonder will be complete. |

I tried keeping up with post-EBR Hero for a while. IIRC, the last news of note from maybe a year ago was that they’d finally completely given up on bringing that nifty little 250 that EBR designed for them to production. They had complete plans and several prototype bikes and they still couldn’t figure out how to produce them. |

Harley-Davidson and its Chinese partner Qianjiang have signed off on the design of the HD350 Project. After all, Quianjiang is the same company that oversees the production of the Benelli motorcycles so there are bound to be certain crossovers. In fact, the 338cc twin engine that will power the HD350 is, in fact, a Benelli engine. It was also announced that the 302S would be bumped up to a 350S. Coincidence? I think not. https://www.rideapart.com/articles/399533/hero-motocorp-harley-davidson-partnership/
Idiots should have kept the XB and Blast product lines. |

Lets face it, HD is now just a styling and brand licensing company. I'm not a hater! But it's pathetic to watch them clinging on for every last penny. What happened to dying with honor? Their fan base knows more abut that than they do |

I'd say don't pick on India... But from way back in the last century, one of my childhood friends was an India Indian whose parents had escaped the war/revolution that created Pakistan, which makes India look like freaking Tokyo. How did this family ended up in South Dakota? It's like moving to Siberia. Literally figuratively. ( The weather is similar, but not so many trees or death camps. ) And the Mom had zero issues with being brutally honest about how their lives went to crap as they fled mass murder by religious fanatics that not only were friendly neighbors just days before, but were patients of Dr. Dad. And every immigrant from India I had as my Dr. or customer, had zero interest in going back, except to visit family, briefly, then escape the madness again. I'm acutely aware of the thousands of years when India was, with China, WAY ahead of Western Europe as far as technology and civilization and population. "We" hit about parity with Rome, then Global Cooling gave us the Dark ages. And you probably have to go clear up to the 18th century to get close in tech and art before we had the Industrial revolution and Modern Liberal philosophy to equal both the height of Rome and India... From a thousand years ago. Indians will openly wonder how they would have developed if the British Empire hadn't conquered them and locked them into permanent second or third class status. Fair enough. But it's also true that they'd stalled out on improving 900 years ago. ( much as China had when they turned their backs on the rest of the world ) And the Taj Mahal? A massively self indulgent obsession made of rare stone, the ultimate expression of luuuuv! Or an incredible waste, ymmv. To be fair, America has Mt. Rushmore or the Empire State building as our iconic tourist traps, and looked at that way, the Taj is pretty rad with a cool back story. & The Motor Company? This might kill it. Indian companies are getting as bad a rep as Chinese where it comes to delivering product quality and paying bills & for intellectual property. Doesn't have to be that way, but theorem seems deserved. And btw, The Pharmacy Network that calls me daily to try and scam me into giving my info so they can steal my identity to defraud my Insurance... It's one of thousands of crime call centers in...guess where? |

I remember the scene in Slum Dog Millionaire where the workers were filling water bottles with tap water and then sealing the caps on with superglue to make it look “factory “. |
