What's the term for inserting a segment in a proposed deal you know won't be accepted, so you can "give in" on that subject to get the rest passed? That's one explanation. ( Galilee Triangle ) My personal guess is the entire Deal is for a real purpose, and certainly not expected to be accepted by the PA. By offering huge money and a sweet deal that he knows won't be accepted, Trump is up to something. Something Different from the Carter Deal, who foolishly thought a deal could be made, and might be honored by the PA. Or the Clinton Deal that was pure theater. ( "see, we tried! Aren't we awesome?" ) I think this one is designed to crank up awareness among the Permanent Exploited Palestinians to how the PA is screwing them. I could be wrong. Trump could be doing the usual attempt at peace negotiations, under the standard delusional assumptions that the PA would ever agree. Or comply. The "Trump plays 4D Chess!" folk might even say this Deal is part of the Liberate Iran Strategy of sanctions and limited military action . Could be. | ||
