March Badness 2020.Has a nice ring to it doesn't it.Well it's time to think about putting in for vacation time and marking your calendars.This years dates are March 27,28 and 29,and it will be held at our favorite motorcycle resort http://twowheelsofsuches.com/. There is fun to be had for all,great roads to ride in the North Georgia mountains,local attractions,hiking trails (the Appalachian Trail is two miles away) good food to eat and I'm sure someone will chime in to let you know about the festivities around the fire pit.Any questions will be answered by our knowledgeable repeat offenders. | ||

Gotta watch things closely coming up on the next few weeks. Plus my cousin's daughter is getting married the following weekend. Plus, still worrying about my dog, cutting down a tree, saving for a week up in the Northeast with M, on and on. For me, the choice between March Badness and Buelltoberfest is usually the latter. The first part of any year, in my biz, is relatively slow. I make most of my $$$ in the last quarter of the year. Just did an availability search for 3/27 through 3/29, all cabins and lodge rooms are up for grabs. If I get to make it, as usual my pick is room #3- good to split 3 ways. Dangit! Been LONG time since I have been down for March Badness. Last time it was COLD and then the rains came. Headed home with my wet tail between my legs only to have the rear wheel bearings fail about 50 miles from home. BUT!! this is the first time in a LONG time that I am not teaching that weekend. I doubt I will make it but it does have me thinking... | ||

The ride down for me is like a pilgrimage. Even in the rain, it aint bad. Vern and I've probably got the ideal A to B ride for time/distance/stops/grub/occasional detours. Today's 2/6... a fair amount of time to decide. Please standby. | ||

I should be on the road somewhere by then. Just spent the last two days removing all carburetor related pieces off the Barcalounger and installing my collection of fuel injected articles of infusion. I haven't tried to start it yet, it's too damn cold to open the garage door! If it does run I'm hoping to trailer it far enough South to avoid extreme cold and then ride to Florida to visit some friends. One is in the Keys! All by ear, no plan, so we'll see where and when I end up, maybe at TWOs. | ||
