Yep there is a scandal about hush money to a Playboy model. I prefer hush money from a gossip rag than my wallet, which is what Congress does. I'd consider it an illegal campaign contribution. So she should give it back? I know I'd like the millions Congress took from us to shut up complaining abused women back. That's an illegal & stolen from us campaign contribution too, eh? And I'd LOVE to get an accounting of who was given OUR money to shut up women and men they abused while working for us. I admit to curiosity about the Party affiliation, too. If a miracle happens and that goes public, we'll have to start a pool to bet ( bragging rights only, site rules ) on the percentage of D to R sex criminals we paid to protect. Hillary didn't start the contempt for the people with her basket of deplorables comment. It's been a theme of ( mostly, but not exclusively ) Dems for years, as they hold $20,000 a plate fundraisers for their Ivy League frat boy followers. It sells well among the self annointed elite to be told how great they are and how repulsive & stupid the unwashed masses are. It's not the same as sports fandom. Bills fans mock Dolphins fans but there's not contempt. Serious rivalry, but underneath they all watch football. Same folk, different merchandise. Flags, coats, hats, different colors but they hang in the same sports bars. ( yes, some bars have attracted a regular team crowd ) Politics is different today. There's little mixing. Open contempt doesn't encourage fun discussion. So in this Primary season one Party is competing to out radical each other. With no thought, yet, to appealing to the moderate middle. It would be smart to keep track of the reversals in rhetoric after the Convention chooses a candidate. Yesterday they told their hard core they would take our cars, homes, jobs and choices since we were destroying the planet. They promise to send the police to our homes to disarm us, or kill us if we object. They call us racists as they reject minorities from their debates, based on arbitrary criteria intended to protect the wealthy establishment. What will they say in a few months? And they wonder why they aren't universally loved. | ||

How many business ventures have you successfully opened and kept going, Patches? Sometimes even the best laid plans don't go the way you want them to or put your interests in the wrong hands (managers, investors, employees, H-D...) and your business goes down the toilet. Eric Buell is a good example of that. I don't like Trump as a person, but I have way more respect for people that fall off the horse and keep getting back up than someone who gives up the first try. | ||

I know that some were casino's in Atlantic City, where the whole area went bust. How many successes has he had?
