Finishing a new shop and hopefully I can soon be at the stage where I can move equipment in and then begin hanging “stuff” on the walls. Since I have way more stuff than wall space - I’m curious as to what items some of you have decided was cool or interesting enough to hang on your shop walls. I did come up with a decent (I think) use for the 4” by 66” decorative trim pieces for motorcycle lifts. If any of you are willing to show what’s on your walls - I’d appreciate it.

I had to take a screenshot of the article, it wouldn't let me copy the image, to get the picture they used in the local paper, but I really liked the picture. That sign is a mistake (wrong color) from my sign company for my store, so the reject found residence in my home shop, above my laser room. By the way, they added a zero to the size of my store, it's actually quite small and cozy, but it works for a one man show.

Ive got a few various things that wouldnt mean much to anyone here. BUT then I have a HUGE 1125RR banner I got from the EBR auction. It's when Danny won a race, I cant recall which right now, just know it was won on July 18, my birthday. It was a banner that used to hang at Buell. Maybe 9' tall and 4' wide. And then I have a signed 1125R side pod, Mr. Buell signed for my at Homecoming 2010 |

Nice shop!! Finished up mine in the fall, have a lift sitting on the back porch due to snow, need to move the EBR and that into position. Only thing hanging is a Firebolt clock and the plastics off the 12R. I will probably get the metal signs for Buell parking for the bikes and one for the bride's Sporty. Thinking the black EBR 1190RS banner, wish I could find some EBR SX stuff...

I hung a dartboard and keep 2 sets of steel darts in the edge of the board. I played darts 2 or 3 hours a day for the 3.5 years I was in England. Unlike a bicycle, you have to practice. I have a few menus on the wall too. |

You may think about paintin' the rafters up high black? |

Dammit I love steel darts! We used to have a tournament here at a blues bar, good crowd, and I was pretty decent. I teamed up with a kid I knew, came in 2nd. Even beat the bar owner once. Then a bunch of deadeye shooters from Knoxville started coming. Took all the fun out of it. I could see the guy doing the math to strip down 501. |

If any of you are willing to show what’s on your walls - I’d appreciate it. Roger, I can only imagine the treasures you have to hang on your walls, considering your employment history. (BTW, is that a couple of screw jacks holding up that one beam??) My new shop is still unfinished on the inside (our just-completed seven-month home remodel has taken priority), so I've yet to hang anything on the walls. Here's a pic of the outside if you don't mind: The walls are 2x6, the slab is insulated, and I've got heat and A/C already in place. Looking forward to insulating the walls and attic space, and then actually moving in for real. Howdy to you and Tracy from me 'n D. |

XBpete, nice shop, nice to see no clutter. Mine are typically never that neat. RD, Thanks for the suggestion on the rafters but I’ve already put insulation in them - sheeting next (after all the insulation is done). Fb1, Always good to hear from you. Your garage looks perfect (I’m not surprised). We’re at a similar stage - I’ve also finished the outside and I’m working on the inside. Curious to see what you hang on your walls. |

In my garage up north I used vinyl siding on the side walls inside where the car doors could hit. That way the rain through an opened garage door couldn't wet the drywall either. Maybe frey carpet on the steel jack poles. |

Fb1 forgot to respond to the screw jack question. Yes, they’re 100” basement jacks, rated at 11,000lbs. each. They’re welded to 1/4” by one foot square plates - that are bolted to the slab. I wanted some adjustment capabilities if things shifted or settled. |

I'm glad I was able to get a 25th Anniversary banner. Pretty good memories every time I look at it. It still hangs there but some Jeep swag has joined in.

Fb1, Always good to hear from you. Your garage looks perfect (I’m not surprised). And you, as well. Thanks. Our new garage is modest, but it'll work. We just finished converting our upstairs single-car attached garage into a nice, bright office for Denise, so the timing on the new two-car/two-bike garage is perfect. |

Wolf ridge I like the banner. I have the poster but the banner is more unique. Is that a photo above the window? |

Smoky Mountain H-D once had a huge, backlit, full logo Buell sign... wonder what happened to it. |

I'll play. . . Nice looking space, and while you're probably not looking for too many recommendations, I'd encourage painting the interior before you get everything sorted - - always easier than doing it after the fact. We bought an old house but it had a brand new garage and while proper folks might call it a "double-tandem" (two cars wide and two cars deep), I prefer to call it a "double-wide". . . It had a ceiling installed, but just studs on the walls, so added insulation and did a mix of chip board and sheetrock (turned on their sides), chip board on the lower portions to absorb bumpers, thrown tools, etc. Then joined the sheathing with diamond plate trim. So here's the Buell swag - - first item was a laminated Pegasus poster I liberated from the local H-D shop in November 2009. It's about 22" x 34", and I made the frame out of scrap (but didn't match the Buell blue too well).
Second piece is the EBR banner I picked up probably in 2012 or 2013. Apologies for the trailer/camper contraption (and for some, the H-D signage...)
Piece de la resistance is the Buell sign that hung outside the dealership. I'd run into the shop owner every couple of months after the shut-down and badger him about it. Finally wore him down..., think it was 2016. It's on a sideways 4x8 piece of sheetrock for scale.
Q: Okay, Buell swag, sheetrock, Epstein? ? ? A: Three things that don't hang themselves. Too soon ? ? ? Too late ? ? ? Great looking shop, enjoy. Paul |

Pew, Thanks for posting the photos - you’ve got some nice stuff, especially the dealer sign. Buelltours’ sign is pretty nice also. |

Shop is pretty well completed, and most of the “stuff” has been hung on the walls. Now I’m trying to find uses for some of the collection I’ve been carrying for years. Velocity stacks make a pretty good helmet hook.
Old hammered-out wrenches can have a second life.
