The legal theory is that it is an illegal campaign contribution to investigate a corrupt politician. If so, then is every death threat from Hollywood stars one too? More importantly, if politicians cannot be investigated, then the law doesn't apply to them. Leaving the Booth Option the only check & balance. That's not a Nation we want to live in. Other thing my enormous power permits me is to travel on multi million dollar aircraft, to wherever I want. As long as they are scheduled to go there & I pay them. If I really want to go elsewhere, I use more Plutocratic power. i.e. I pay more. I can only hope free flights on Epstein's jet costs the passengers everything. Or was Plutocrat supposed to be an insult? If so, why? At least it's marginally true, unlike thinking calling me a Jew is an insult. That just puzzled me. I remember being upset when kids lied about what I was to my face. But by 3rd grade or so I outgrew being embarrassed by false accusations. Since I wasn't guilty, why should I feel bad? Angry, sure. Different thing, and sometimes the bully' s goal. I also learned to ignore them, and steal their perverted pleasure, or correct them. 4th grade did have me in the Principal's office a lot. That tapered off as the bullies learned it wasn't satisfying or safe to pick on me. And slander as an adult is a legal thing where lawyers make others pay to lie about me. And I really don't care party or policy. If Trump committed crimes, I want him in Leavenworth. Defining "crimes" can be tricky. Politicians have written the laws so police have some protections from frivolous persecutions, civil & legal. That's proper, police are our authorized users of violence, the Sheepdogs. But the politicians have woven a set of laws making it far harder to persecute them. That's not new, every hierarchy does this. And politicking, the art of the deal & governance, encourages & demand a certain amount of sneaky & dishonesty to function. Controlling the rot is an eternal struggle. We have to keep a balance between liberty and anarchy and tyranny. Seriously, we just can't hang all the dishonest politicians. Eventually, things would grind to a halt because we'd have run out of stupid political types. We'd have to invent a whole new system. Computers, probably. I'm not sure I'd want to purge the gene pool of those traits, anyway. Somebody has to do the paperwork and I'd rather be riding.  | ||

Agreed, but after careful consideration I think I would prefer to hear witnesses in Senator Graham's Judiciary committee hearings. That way some of it might go back to the Justice dept., for grand jury review, and possible indictment. If it comes out in impeachment proceedings it likely won't go anywhere. | ||

I agree. What might work is to tie the chain of evidence from the Clinton Campaign up to the whistleblower to properly put in context how partisan he is. Then just simply say, these matters are under criminal investigation, and we shall speak no further on this pawns lies. Or call a witness from Hunan and lock the doors until the next election. | ||
