+1 on the smaller displacement bikes! They're getting to be the hot sellers. I get a kick out of watching RD farkle out his new bike. Wonder what Erik's been up to lately... ?

I'd love to have a KTM! A 1290 Super Adventure R would be out of this world, but an 890 Adventure R would be awesome as well.

Maybe someday...

Ok, back to me again. I'm 7 weeks out from seeing my orthopedist for a 2nd time. I have a bad, bad feeling that I may need surgery for a horrible left arch. Therefore...

Are my years as an avid motorcyclist coming to an end? At least those that involve shifting with my left foot?? What to do. Writing seems to be appearing on that old wall, over there. CRAAAP.

So, I'm now contemplating the sale of 3 motorcycles. 1996 PC800 show bike, 1980 CT110, starts on first kick but needs a little work, and.... CRAAAAAAAP. My 1977 BMW R75/7, with gobs of goodies. All require standard shifting with the left foot.

What to do. I think I know. I've been riding since age... ? Maybe I could go to a DCT or CVT something something. It's only my left foot after all. Thinking about a Yamaha DCT now, kinda like those Aprilia Manas.

Oh well.

I'm hoping to at least get the Suzook back on the road at some point.

Did a sun visor on the car. A little late...but...it doesn't look like much on the outside...but it's a whole different view on the inside.

Wish I'd done it over the summer.

That's a neat little car! The one new car I ever bought was a 1989 Civic SI, hatchback.

Wish I had it now... oh well.

Thanks. My ex owned the first generation Fit. The little thing was one of funnest things I'd ever driven. It was surprisingly spacious inside with a surprisingly large capacity for cargo. This one is the same, but better. It's a stiffer chassis with more composed road manners and a little more power with enough cup holders to keep everyone hydrated on long road trips.

One thing a lot of people say, is that it reminds them of earlier generations of Civics. Fits are known for having a little more road and engine noise compared to other modern cars due to trying to keep weight down and chassis stiffness up over having a totally quiet car.

The girlfriend likes to remind me that it's not a race car...but I know better

Having a beam axle out back and McPherson struts out front limits suspension tuneability, but it doesn't seem to hold it back much. I personally respect the simplicity of the engine and chassis layout.

I don't know about that...but I do know that I fitted a new leather shift boot to my car.

I still have a sew on steering wheel cover to do and I'm probably going to do a race stripe on the hood. I hear it's good for seven horsepowers.

I may vinyl wrap the entire roof section as the paint has been ravaged by the sun.

Some day I have to polish and clear coat the headlights. I'll probably have to wait 'till spring. I'm also considering rear wheel spacers to give it a proper square stance (the rear wheels sit annoyingly inboard of the fronts).

All I know, is that the illiberati have told me that the internal combustion engine's days are numbered and it will all be rainbows and unicorns from then on.

I washed my car for the first time. Looked surprisingly good. The roof is sun burnt. I may wrap it.

They promised me nuclear cars that you refueled every 5 years by swapping out the reactor core.

I admit that might give me pause next time I pass a wreck & have the urge to offer assistance. ; ) I need a new combo tool, seat belt cutter, window breaker and Geiger counter.

Hey at least we all got masks.

I understand why flying cars and hovercraft were "over promises". Hovercraft don't have brakes. Too many Drivers lack the skills for 2D, much less 3D travel. There'd be Buicks falling out of the sky after being side swiped by kids in a Honda with big exhausts. ; )

But we're close, if not yet affordable. I really want one of these!

But my budget is closer to this.

Sadly Fit #2 expired prematurely. A lifted Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 failed to yield at a stop sign and pulled out as I neared the threshold of the intersection. The collision was likely all of 50mph. Astonishingly I walked away with only a few hours of soreness and ringing ears...but the Fit that I've spent all this time perfecting is a total loss.

I'm leaning towards a Mazda2 as a replacement.

I envision something like this:
