As I go to my doctor's office, I pass under the big sign for the children's hospital sponsored by, and bearing the name of a local...former local...self made gajillionaire. ( I don't know how richer he is ) I'm sure it's nice to have your name in 20 foot letters on a University building. Great for the ego. Better yet, not limited to an obscure corner of campus and single course of study. ( like the " Smith Accounting School building" ) His name is in big letters on the biggest Hospital Complex in town, and dozens of clinics in the area. I'm not a fanboy, but I pay a little attention to these things, and he started a small company to fulfill a business need in an era of insanely complex regulation & tax codes, using modern technology. It got bigger. Paychex. Employs a lot of people in multiple locations. A few years back, in protest to the State government decision to tax the rich out of business to feed leftist agenda, he loudly moved out of state. ( saving himself millions ) There's a soap opera aspect, of course! Relatives and ex wife and an uncompleted mansion ( for the ex??? ) and wallpaper more expensive than my house. Bet on a Netflix mini series someday.  But he's a good example of how "The Rich" can be a force for good in the community. I don't care if it's ideology, faith, or ego that buys a Cat scanner and pediatric intensive care unit, or how big the sign is. Thanks mr. Golisano. Compare that to the many millionaires on stage at the Political show. I doubt the Warrens and Sanders clans look good in context. | ||

Isn't it funny, how much it makes sense...when smart people get involved? This crap in the media is simply a bunch of power-hungry people, taking advantage of the dumb majority...because they CAN. And because it makes them richer and more powerful. The gist of that letter brings it back to the argument a while back about "taxes are the MINIMUM you're required to send to the government, but you can always send MORE" - Mr. Cooperman, and the others he mentions in the letter, give VOLUNTARILY to help others. The sticking point for Warren, et. al, being that their giving isn't controlled by the Government. How much does Pocahontas give? Voluntarily, or otherwise? How about Comrade Sanders, how much does he donate out of the goodness of his heart? How about Joe and Hunter? She (and the others) should think, before they twit something stupid like that about people who really DO give freely to others. Mr. Cooperman also makes excellent points concerning the total influx of transfer payments; excise and sales taxes; and lifetime versus annual tax burdens. Y'know...that racist "math" stuff...hard, objective facts. Smart people. | ||

His threats of sending police to rob & if need be, murder, citizens if they possessed property he had declared evil, when he became Supreme Leader, meant to me that we are far better off with Bobby as a private citizen who can be imprisoned the next DUI he gets. | ||

I work in Service for a car dealer now. Daily, we get people coming in with things like "my tire pressure light is on". OK...have you checked the air pressure in your tires? "no...why?"  | ||

The famous Pilgrims fled England to escape religious persecution. Because they were really annoying SJWs. They came here and established a Commune based on principles Marx stole later. If you hump 18 hours a day to clear land and grow crops and your neighbor works barely enough to patch his own cabin & is drunk all day, & he gets his "fair share", the same as you, of the food you grew while he lay around, even the most intelligent people are going to be unhappy. Especially in a culture that preaches Fairness, and shames nonconformity. Just like Marxist College life. So the hardest And smartest slacked off, it's only fair. Nearly killed them off. IF the friendly natives hadn't saved them Plymouth would have been a lost colony like Jamestown. Luckily for the manufacturers of folding paper pumpkins & turkeys, a few of the leaders, got desperate, pointed out "Jesus Socialism" was apparently a flawed interpretation of idealism in a harsh real world with fallible human beings, and went back to "work if you are able, or die a lazy idiot" and today after one serious revolution against the most powerful Empire on Earth, another war against that Empire, a Uncivil war against that Empire's slave trade and colonial exploitation, then 4 more wars against European & Asian Empires, ( ongoing ) we became the superpower of the late 20th century, where billions preferred to live than where the Pilgrim idea stealing Marx had given evil men the tools to lie and murder the theft of Empires. I was happy to see America elect a minority, happy that so many white Americans had shed the yoke of racism the Democrats/Confecerates had fed us propaganda to maintain for so long. Unfortunately, that turns out to be practically the only thing good about Barry's election. ( gay marriage, too. Ymmv ) So now we see Mayor Pete. I predict the one "good thing" about this guy is he's gay. If I'm right, that's incredibly sad. But the way he twists and brags on, his "Christianity", isn't part of any code I respect. | ||

It's worth remembering that the Primaries don't have as much influence on who the DNC chooses to be candidate as most think. I don't think they've rewritten the rules to make the Primary election 100% completely a sham, but basically who I vote for has nothing to do with who they will nominate behind closed doors. Or when the Party Elite decide, long before or after any votes. They will just announce it at the Party Convention after a suitably dramatic rally and scripted "vote". | ||

Although I think most Americans feel it's wrong to elect anyone BECAUSE of their color. We probably would have given Harris a pass for screwing her way to power. After all, it's a Man's World and prostituting yourself to gain power could be considered a feminist reaction to the sexism of your Party, justified, if not traditionally honorable. Most Republicans would have no problem with a dope smoking Prosecutor who sent many black men to prison for the same things she enjoyed. Just because Rs tend to be law & order folk, but forgiving to victimless crimes if not hypocrisy. But her legacy as a law & order prosecution publicity hound did not go over well with Democrats. The only person with issues with Harris's hypocrisy was the D's best candidate, the sane one from Hawaii. The rest seems to hate law & order applied to them so much that even a corrupt prosecutor was simply a no go. |
