VERY early this year (December 6 - 8). Saw a report that Indian, Ducati and KTM will NOT be at the NYC show (though they are at the Long Beach, CA show this weekend). Very disappointing as I was hoping to get a look at the new Indian Challenger. Anyway, weather permitting, I will be riding in on Sunday morning and plan on heading uptown to the Dinosaur BBQ for lunch. If anyone is in the area, let me know! |

Wow, that Challenger looks slick. Got out of the MC biz this past spring and haven't looked back...but that's pretty damn cool. Might have to go torture myself in the spring, after I sell a house... |

Too bad, because IMO the Indian display was the highlight of the show. |

Since I've been gravitating more towards electrics, I'm hoping Harley will FINALLY have a Livewire on display. I already know Energica will be there with their entire model line and Zero will be there as well (they're doing that "Rider Training" thing again this year so even non-riders can try out a Zero). Sure would be nice if Fuell were there too... |

Jamiec the livewire was at long beach. Test rides were being offered, too. |

That Indian Challenger is EXACTLY what I was ranting on and on about H-D not doing with the Vrod platform. I continue to be baffled why H-D didn't just make it. They had all the ingredients. |

If the show in NYc is as big as Long Beach. Go for friends and fellowship... |

Pretty much what I was thinking, Teeps. Probably won't stay long... just do a quick pass through then head up to the Dinosaur. Nate, I test-rode the Challenger last weekend at the dealership. NICE bike... all it needs are fairing lowers and a tourpak and I'd probably jump on it. There were all kinds of rumors that Harley was going to build a tourer around the Revolution engine, but it never happened. Wonder why? |

Probably because HD dealers were about as good at selling the VRSC family, as they were at selling Buells. That thought likely occurred to product planners and gave them tremors - "what if we build it and nobody buys one because we can't market it properly?" That, combined with a healthy dose of "we have to stick to tradition - air cooled tractor lumps, nothing else". |

I was just looking at the Indian's and when I was trying to see if I could add a tour pack to the Springfield I found you had to buy it a piece at a time and assemble it. The price to do this was crazy money. I like the Challenger too but will wait till they make it a proper touring machine. |
