It was 10 years ago on October 15th when the announcement was made that H-D would be discontinuing Buell. I had overlooked the significance of today's date until I got a call that my dad passed away this morning at 89. After the call, I took note of the date and put 2 and 2 together... I hope your October 15th is going better than mine. | ||

Wow. My condolences, Brankin. 89 is a good number to make, my stepdad's 85 and newly married. My real dad only made 56., mom's been gone over 10 years now. Going forward, let this date allow you to remember some truly great things in your life. | ||

You have my sympathy Brankin. My father's birthday was 9/11. He died 7/1/2001. His birthday now has a dual meaning, I'm just glad he passed before that. It will be a few months before you don't instantly think about him. Time does heal all wounds, but you never forget. | ||

Very sorry to hear it, Brankin. I suspect that no matter how long we have our dads, it never seems like long enough. A week doesn’t go by ~15 years after my dad died that I don’t wish I could talk to him about something. | ||
