I adjusted the wheel bearings on the new trailer axle today. Even remembered to put the new sticker on the plate! Took the Uly out for a shake down cruise after replacing the O2 sensor and cleaning the air cleaner. It's running great! I'll be there Thursday afternoon. Ready for a dinner run to Dahlonega! | ||

Started making check my list as the time to hit the road is slowly approaching. Pulled out my "cold" weather riding gear and rain jacket, thank goodness it still fits me. I'll have to setup my tent in the next day or so to make sure it is still sound to use as shelter. Scheduled to arrive on Thursday afternoon....Excited! ...........  | ||

One week!!! I'm heading out next Monday. I plan to ride to Cumberland Falls, Kentucky and camp in the State Park and hopefully see a Moonbow. From there, I'm going to ride to Tellico Plains, Tennessee and ride the Cherohala Skyway to Robbinsville, North Carolina, then pick up Rts. 129/19 and take 19 to 180 over Wolf Pen Gap to my favorite campground in the USA. I'll arrive either Tuesday or Wednesday, depending on circumstances. This is going to be my final long ride of the season, and I'm really looking forward to it! Hey, Brad; what's the name of that bakery in Tellico Plains that you're so fond of? I'll probably want to stop there for breakfast/brunch. | ||

It's Tellico Grains Bakery. Would you grab me a couple of their bacon and cheese breakfast biscuits? They keep really well, no refrigeration required. | ||

Hey RoadCrust- Tellico Grains Bakery is only open for lunch, typically closing about 4, and they're closed Sundays and Mondays. If you don't get to eat there, check out Tellico Beach Drive In right at the beginning of the Skyway. Good quality "greasy spoon" type food, extra bonus is eating at a picnic table overlooking the river. (I like the Bakery too much to skip it, but I do like the Beach.) From there, if you have time, take a look at Bald River Falls. Just riding the 2 lane road to get to the Falls is very nice, you'll have to turn around and go back down to get on the main road. As you go up, be sure to spot a little side road- you can take it as a great shortcut back to the Skyway. | ||
