I thought that any Hardly Abelson dealership could order Buell parts. I just called 1st Capitol here in York, PA and they said NOPE. Has something changed with the MoFoCo? | ||

That’s what I’ve been told ! But nope ! Battlefield HD in Gettysburg won’t Frederick HD in Frederick Md. won’t Unless it matches sportster parts I’ve ordered some parts from St Paul HD Horse Power HD in upper Pa And have learned that New Castle HD has parts Apparently HD only honored Buell for a few years after the shut down . Most don't know they can, and most don't have the parts books or know where to find the digital parts book. It wasn't a huge announcement, just a small mention on the dealer news feed. So they just stick to the normal "can't help you". Also they don't want to get stuck with extra parts, when ordering gaskets or misc hardware from the MoCo they have to buy in packs of 10 or more and don't want to deal with having to tell customers to buy the whole package or what not so they just keep their hands clean of the whole mess. St. Paul HD is usually your best bet if your local dealer won't help you. I can help you at my dealership if need be but our e-commerce isn't really set up so its kind of a pain to do secure orders over the phone/email and paypal. | ||

Right, it likely was something as simple as them not knowing they can do it now. If you provided a part number and asked them to order it I don't see why they would turn away your money. | ||

In your state, New Castle HD/Buell were bigtime Buell enthusiasts back in the day. They may be willing to order parts for you. For what it's worth, the Stealership closest to me, never really supported Buell after a change in ownership. But, I've always been able to order parts there, to this day. Wonders never cease... |
