Motorcycles! I love them. I really enjoy riding them. I like customizing them to suit my ideas of what a particular machine ought to look, feel and act like. I have my likes and there are some bikes that I really wouldn't enjoy as much as the bikes I favor, but they are all good. I worked in several different motorcycle shops, over the years. When I worked for Don's Honda in Colorado Springs, my boss once said, "I like motorcycles. If Harley Davidson was the only motorcycle manufacturer, then I would be riding a Harley." I've used that line a few times in my life, but the brand mentioned wasn't Harley. If I could have my own version of Jay Leno's Garage, it would hold a very eclectic mix of bikes, but they would all have some exceptional quality that surpassed other bikes. Motorcycles are my life. When I see that bank ad about the Dream Rangers in Taiwan, I feel inspired. In the movie, The World's Fastest Indian, when Burt Munro had a heart attack and is in the hospital, the doctor tells him that she's afraid his motorcycling days are over. He responds, "Like hell they are!" I can fully relate to that sentiment. I once heard a Biker tell Jay Springsteen that he was really happy to live during this time period when there are motorcycles to ride. Think about it; a hundred and twenty years ago, they really weren’t around, and in another fifty years or so, they’ll be an outmoded form of transportation. Kind of like chariots. However; motorcycles are present now and we get to enjoy them. We really are fortunate. I just wanted to start a thread about motorcycles. I get tired of just reading about politics all the time. |

I think you reversed the photos of the S2 and S3...my vote goes to the S2 for most beautiful.... |

I agree with Ratbuell, even though I owned the best looking S3T ever made I still think the S2's were better looking. That's a good looking Sloper parked in front of that Zepplin. |

There will ALWAYS be motorcycles. In the future, they'll actually have MOTORS instead of engines, that's all.

I love my bikes. They're awesome in their own ways. While I lust for a naked superbike...I'm afraid I may have to put my first car on the road instead These are my favorite bikes I would buy today:

by far the Uly was the most fun bike I have ever owned. Wish it would have been a little more reliable... but I sure do miss the power wheelies!!
and a pic of the first bike I bought. YZ125 2 stroke... it would wheelie when you least expected it. Scared the crap outta myself a few times with it!

I totalled the Honda, so then I bought a 1976 Moto Guzzi 850 T3:
