If you saw Slade play live at one of their many US gigs, maybe you can help........

Many thanks,

Rocket in England : )

"Attention all Slade fans, especially from the USA...as there isn't much of this sort of stuff and it would make a change for some input from America for a change!
Your help is needed and I am asking Dave Kemp, and others to make sure this message gets out there!

Did you see Slade live? Would you like to contribute your memories to a book about the band? Music writer Richard Houghton is compiling a ‘people’s history’ of Slade, telling the band’s story as a live act in the words of fans. Richard’s book, Slade - The Day I Was There, is scheduled for publication in autumn 2020. He’d love to see your photos and your old tickets. But most of all he’s interested in your memories - how you discovered their music and became a fan and what you remember of seeing them live: where, when, who you went with as well as the musical highlights.

Richard has written a number of similar books on other performers. He is turning his attention to Wolverhampton’s finest because Slade were the first band he became fan of. But although the first single he ever bought was ‘My Friend Stan’, he never saw the boys live so wants to make up for that by capturing your memories in print for him and everyone else to enjoy those days once more. Richard can be contacted on iwasatthatgig@gmail.com"

Sorry, I don't remember them.

Quiet Riot covered most all their tunes.

Thanks Rocket!

Louisville, KY, September 29, 1973. (I had to look it up.)
I remember it as a fun show, but not enough details to be able to contribute memories of the show itself.
