...always with the race excuse, or the girl excuse.

It's never because you just suck (not like THAT...although, in this case apparently....).

People like Harris need to realize that sometimes, you just aren't going to get elected BECAUSE you're a woman of color.

You need to have qualifications. You need to have redeeming qualities. You need to be...electABLE, and show a valid reason for getting elected.

"I'm not a white male" doesn't make the cut, not buy itself.

Of the D candidates, I "like" Tulsi Gabbard best, by far. I disagree with her on several issues, but there's no need to get into that, since apparently she is simply not Communist Enough to get traction with the Democrat Party Supreme Leadership.

So we who registered as D to vote in their primary have some interesting, if horrible choices.

Booker seems he couldn't make the Party cut for the next Hatefest & Promises Impossible To Keep event. ( debate doesn't describe it at all ) Booker has imaginary friends, is outspoken about being against Constitutional rights, and someone told me he's "of color", which means nothing to me. CRazy, dishonest, and eager to send someone in a mask to kick my door down is plenty to not vote for him. Also he seems to think he's Kirk Douglas.

Just Joe is melting down mentally to the point I can't tell if any quotes from him are real or made up by folk with a sick sense of humor. Plus his obvious corruption, and the increasing probability that Obama will have him murdered to keep him from testifying. Anywhere. Ever.

Warren is refusing to answer questions about her promises, which worked for Obama, but I doubt/hope won't fly with a generation who were already lied to about keeping their health insurance and it getting cheaper by Obama. Especially since she kinda sorta says she's going to take everyone's health insurance, and replace it with cheaper tax paid insurance.

But won't get into the minor detail that while you might be paying $6000 a year for Blue Cross today, under her plan you'll probably pay $8000 in taxes, PLUS whatever you pay for the insurance, which will probably double based on the nation's experience with Obamacare.

Then there's Bernie. The nicest thing I can say about him, is that thanks to a health care system he would destroy, he probably will live to last out the Trump administration.

Oh, and people like Bernie are a great example of why it's important to learn history. At least the last few centuries where his religion has murdered more people than war.

Then there's the incompetent, ignorant, pandering, guy. At least he's Gay.

And Hillary. Who I have no dirt on, and have nothing bad to say about her.

Michelle should be too smart to run. She has little chance of tolerating criticism without freaking out, so it's best she avoid going up against the Troll In Chief Bad Orange Man.

If there are others, besides one of the 10 richest guys on the planet, I've forgotten them, since the Media is too busy making up anonymous sources to actually report on news.

I have to agree, she is the least likely to get a double face palm if elected. I'm not sure she has any name recognition though.

Harris was half Brahmin Indian, ( India Indian ) and half Jamaican. ( part English purchased from Arabs imported from Africa black, part white, ) Considers herself American Black, which she is by cultural immersion. Oakland Black American. From Wikipedia She identifies as black[12] and Indian, but sees her experience primarily as American.[13] Harris was raised in Berkeley, California.[14] She grew up attending both a Black Baptist church, where she and her sister sang in the choir, and a Hindu temple.[15][16]

I'd consider her typical American Oakland Cali upper upper middle /lower upper class. I'm not a lifetime Klan Party loyalist so the mixed race background seems normal & I don't need a name to make her inhuman.

I'd consider her more "authentic" black American than Barry, who spent his early years in the Pacific islands. And has a Klan Party racial discrimination title, although only rude people use it.

Booker, OTOH said he's Thracian. I should probably look him up, as that's probably a lie. ; )

And it's certainly not my fault his Party members didn't give him enough money or signatures to keep in the debates. ( that is how you buy in, right? Or are there fixed polls involved? ) I assume there just wasn't the impression that he had a chance, so why bribe him? Save his bribes for re-election time.

Harris got left out because she was too law & order authoritarian for her Party. Wrong mix. Authoritarian & hypocritical is fine for a D candidate, but the cop/prosecutor aspect is not. ( it would be better for a R candidate )

Whether or not she was the best to put up against Trump? It was thought so by many, but her fail to deal better with Gabbard in the debate? It's possible she just hadn't prepared a comeback that didn't play the race & sex card.

In some ways she reminds me of Ben Carson. He didn't do gotcha questions well at all. She has long experience in bull, as a legal worker, so should & has been much better at that. His medical training didn't prepare him for politics. But both will be remembered for the single point of failure in their run. Even though the context was completely different.

Increase taxes over 400%. No jobs. No transportation you can afford. ( Can you ride a horse? Pay a veterinary bill? Can't park a pony in the shed all winter, either ) No fresh food. Little canned goods. Troops guarding the near empty supermarkets. No refrigeration. ( no milk, cows fart. No Coors outside Colorado. No Lean Cuisine frozen entrees. )

True, China has murdered more people in one decade that the entire population of the U.S., But 10 times the death count of our Civil War is the fewest you can expect.

And that's optimistic.

https://amgreatness.com/2019/12/09/obama-and-biden -three-scandals-one-day/

For those too lazy to read. Obama lied. Obama lied. Biden and Obama criminally abused power. & lied.

My opinion is Biden might claim to be unfairly treated because of the crimes Obama committed that he knew nothing about. Everyone would buy that Obama didn't inform him, knowing he's a Ditz who can't keep his mouth shut. No one in his right mind would trust Joe with important or incriminating secrets.

Even his refusal to admit there were any scandals in the 8 years he had the job can be spun as ignorance of any crimes, and a job insulated from reality, not his fault!

Thus his best defense is to claim to be too stupid to notice he was working for criminals. Everyone would buy that.

Doesn't seem like a great recommendation for the job he seeks, but I can see how that's extremely attractive to evil rich people to own a puppet idiot they put in power.

Unfortunately I'm not an evil rich guy, so you can understand my unhappiness.

https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2019/12/the -democrats-bad-poker-faces.php

Possibly better over on the Trump thread, but the possibility that Mitch could "go along" with the Democrats and have a full Senate trial as DEMANDED by law and Pelosi, is important.

A lot of people think it most likely Mitch will simply reject an impeachment trial on the true and obvious grounds that the impeachment proceedings in the House were unjust, biased, dishonest, pure Party Politics, lies, without merit, obviously false, etc.

But that would be a horrible mistake, partly because it would allow the Dems to accuse the Reps of partisan illegality ( as the House circus is, in fact. Accuse others of your crimes strategy, obviously ) leading to Republican losses in the election.

But mostly because it would be true on several levels some very "meta".

There apparently will be an impeachment vote. If Nancy can thug her reluctant members ( who may lose their jobs if they vote to her wishes ) it will pass. A real, legal indictment. Bogus, almost certainly, but Real.

That Has to be followed up on. It's the law. And the roaches must be dragged into the light and shown to have broken their own laws so this never happens again.

And insisting on a thorough, detailed, trial over the critical primary election weeks, a timing the Speaker of the House herself caused, will disrupt the pretense of actual representative choice in the Democrat Party selection process. Cries of the Establishment cheating to get their elite choice, just like last election, will be justified, true, and worst of all, protecting a corrupt, criminal choice. Again.

It's too much to ask for to expect any Biden to be called as witness, or be investigated. But many pundits are creaming their boxers over the idea. I'm too cynical to buy that actual laws will apply to the Party Elite.

And the longer the Trial takes, the better the odds that a nuke, asteroid, comet, or Antifa strike will wipe out Congress.

If it goes to trial in the Senate, there will be no hiding for the "whistle blower". That is the original accuser that lead to all of this (OK, I don't really believe that either), and Trump has a right to face him. No doubt we will see the same "witnesses" again, to be hammered on the fact that they have already testified under oath that they have no first hand knowledge of any sort of quid-pro-quo, regardless of what they may have assumed. I think the highlight though would be having dad and son Biden on the stand, under oath. I'm not sure if either of them is up to the task of keeping to a simple set of lies. No doubt they will also be calling on Schiff just to tear him a new place from which to poo. I wonder who from the FBI they might call in for an under oath grilling.

Honestly, I don't much like the idea that they are talking of holding up USMCA to do all of this though. The sooner that is passed, the sooner the country will reap the benefits.
