I have been looking with a heartfelt and powerful intensity for a nice air fryer below retail. After a 65 mile drive I scored today. Found a new 12 quart capacity, capable of dehydrating, air fryer. It was brand new with a hole in the top of it for only $25 and a drive in the country. Got it from one of those people that buy returned merchandise by the pallet. I just got done closing the hole with a sheet of black vinyl. Looks better than duct tape.

Now to start the search for an Instant Pot. I don't try to talk down people selling stuff for $20. Part of the challenge is finding what you want at an asking price you would be embarrassed to offer for it.

Mom & Sis love their Instant Pots. Whenever they get together, it's speed/slow cook roasts and veggies, consistently good.

"Tonight we are having some cut of meat that was 99 cents a pound. We used it to drive nails, then realized it wasn't frozen. Just added some small potatoes, carrot units, ( the "baby carrots" that are actually old hard ones run through the fake baby carrots machine ) and onion soup mix. "

And I got seriously evangelized by a Green Egg guy Wed. Heat wave or ice storm, he uses the Egg. ; )

RD- we've got a T-Fal brand air fryer, GREAT for wings! It'll take 2.5# of wings, just throw them in thawed, NO oil- the fat renders, and after about 30-35 minutes...

Just dry-spice them to start, or drain fat then add sauce.

Today I have slipped into someones job to cover for them to run to the doctor. They don't want to have to listen to everyone if they find out. It has to do with cancer. I get it. Boss called and I had to answer. Just thought soandso was in the bathroom and I am just visiting. Snowing here again. Soandso better hurry back.

What? Oh, that guy. Hey, at that point he had lost the parachute pants and camaro. His fiancee was a dyed blond model, ex cheerleader, that in all honesty was just trying to raise a couple of kids on her own. Ya, I was driving a low rider, mono-chrome, tilt bed, convertible hard top, Interior from a 280Z, 1,000 watt stereo, mini-truck. Couldn't roll a quarter under it.

It is a gorgeous March day out. Started out raining. Now it is windy at 23 mph. The sun is shining and it is 68 out. I'm thinking about forcing my dog to sit on the porch with me while I read a book. Who has the best porch ever? Crusty! I have an hour or so before I have to start the biscuits and sausage gravy for supper.

Prior to retirement up north we sold our house after having all new flooring and carpeting installed. We bought our house in Indianapolis after that. One thing we did not like was the old rental property carpet in it. It was cleaned and doesn't smell, but... We learned from the last house that if the floor needs replaced, we should do it early and enjoy it. Instead of just buying the next owner a nice floor. I maxed out my trailer twice this morning.

3,000 pounds of bamboo flooring. I know what I'll be doing this summer.

I'm using CoreLuxe engineered vinyl plank flooring for the bathrooms. I am hoping this is the last time.

Ever get lucky: Today YES !!!!! I found my car keys I lost 4 months ago.I don't use that car in the winter so I'm set to use it maybe next week.It was the only set of keys I had.

I found them on the edge of the woods where I walk in the afternoon after the snow melted.

Good score!

I lost my wallet once while riding. My outside zippered pocket somehow came open, and it flew out on a country road half way to nowhere in particular.

I rode up and down that road for an hour, slowly looking around, never found it. A couple of months later, I get a phone call. A young boy had brought the wallet to his father after taking it away from their dog - who was chewing on the leather after finding it in the bushes. The man went through it, found my business card and contacted me

EVERYTHING was still in it... around $80 in cash plus a check for $1100, and all my credit cards, etc.

When I went to pick it up, I tried to reward the boy for his honesty, and the man would not allow it, stating "the boy won't learn anything that way."

I gave him my card, and told him if he ever finds himself at the Home Depot with more stuff than his truck can carry - or if he ever needed a truck for any reason, please don't hesitate to call me.

I went on my way, faith in humankind restored.

I'm looking at a pic taken in Ga. recently. I have packed on the poundage. Poor food choices and no bicycle has taken it's toll. Time to get back off the colas and get to walking.

Poor food choices? I thought that was the point of hanging out with Buell riders. They eat good, they ride focused& safe, and usually know a lot more about by bike than I do.

Yeah, I need nice weather to get here as well so I can start my daily 8 mi mountain bike ride after work.

Nice thing about living half a mile from a retired, 500-acre Army base...LOTS of no-traffic roads to ride on!

That's beautiful RD.

I spent today giving away my Fiero(Got a bottle of whiskey-Weller's Reserve, the best "cheap" whiskey I've ever tasted) and dismantling, straightening and re-assembling a garage door.

Nothing like being really spent, at the end of the day.

See ya soon.

I swung a lineman's hammer while holding a 5 in one tool in the other hand to chisel the tiles free. I feel it today. These tiles hate me and love being attached to the floor. I will win.

Might be time to head to Harbor Freight or whatever and look at some power tool options. "Work smart, not hard." ; )

If you're going to remove wood tiles manually try running a shallow set circular saw through the center of each tile.
Cut the tiles @90 degrees to the direction you are removing them in.
In my experience they come up much more easily if they are in smaller pieces.
Just a thought....
YMMV

If they were wood, I'd be done. They are peel-n-stick on primer and glue. Only way it could be worse is if they had used 3M tape primer. The heat gun just makes a guey mess. Have to chisel it completely off the floor. Only three tiles so far have popped off right.

Making progress. Had to stop today to ride Lil Red, and help a friend cement a track in the ground for the rolling gate to their house, and to take med.s for the migraine that reared it's head, and to clean an office, and to put carpet out for the garbage truck. But, did make progress. I'm supposed to return to the gate tomorrow and install and wire the drive, sensors, and controller. Ah, retirement. Best home improvement so far was the dog door in the back right corner. Works with the transponder she wears. Poor dog just got trained to stay out of my kitchen and I removed her carpet. That is where she sat to keep an eye on the kitchen. Her butt will stick to the floor if she sits there now.
