Crusticle, thanks for that! I, like most of us here I suspect, grew up with the Three Stooges. I even have a copy of The Shemp Meditation Tape, got it from WFMU a long time ago.
Sad to know that the youngun's nowadays won't know about them, Carol Burnett, so many of the old school comedians. I'm continually flabbergasted when I name drop folks like Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison, et cetera and get blank stares.
I grew up with the 3 stooges, but could not stand them. Same with Lucille Ball. Couldn't find anything funny in either show, just stupidity, which is annoying not funny.
I seem to be the minority opinion in that respect.
AirBZ- I get that. Both shows had a formula, and Lucy was way too predictable. The Stooges were reliably stupid, but in innovative ways- they had better writers, I guess.
For a while I'd come home from work, just a couple of years ago, and my honey would be streaming ALL the old Lucy episodes. Got to where I couldn't stand it.
Here in TN it's now illegal to serve flaming shots... some chick drank one in Nahville. Dang- where can I find a place in the good ole USA that will serve tableside Caesar salads, or Bananas Foster??
Yeah, I deleted the s... Edit to remove a wrong apostrophe.
Rescued this little guy on the way home Saturday... flew into the side of a car and was in the middle of the highway. D-bag from Parks and Wildlife told me "Next time leave it..." yeah, right.
