OK everyone in Arizona. Who are you using for insurance. I'm paying about $110 a month for car insurance for an 14 year old economy car, $70 a month for my 2017 Goldwing and $119 a month for m 24 year old son's 2018 CBR 500. Neither my son or I have had an accident or ticket in over 5 years.

There has to be an insurance company out there that can save me some money.

Dang! All those sound kinda high to me. Here in TN I use the Farm Bureau for our 4 wheelers, Safeco has my BMW. All our vehicles are old- '90 GMC pickup, '99 Solara, and my '77 Beemer.

Hate to say it, but although I'm an old fart now, the insurance on your son's bike sounds about right. When he turns 25, IIRC, costs should drop.
If he's done the MSF or some other accredited rider training, that should help as well.

Good luck!

Zane,
For what it's worth.
I was a long time State Farm customer.
I haven't had a ticket in about twenty years.
I recently bought a 2018 Honda CRV.
After I bought it I stared shopping around for better insurance rates.
With Progressive I am now paying only about twenty dollars a year more for the new CRV than I was for my 20 year old Toyota Camry and I have better coverage.
It probably helps that I'm about a hundred miles north of you
Good luck.

"Farmer's" and your state's Farm Bureau are two different companies, I believe. Let us know what you find out, buddy!

Great discussion,

Laurie and I are moving to Prescott from San Diego later this year and we do not know the ropes.

Tom.

Hey Reindog! That will bring you closer to me, and also allow you to ride hwy191 in a weekend! cool beans...

In regards to AZ insurance, when I was there I was paying about $1000 a year for full coverage on 7 Buells, and an ST1300.
It's about the same here in New Mexico, also.

Tom,
Places you might find useful in Prescott:

True Value Hardware 846 Miller Valley Rd your wife will probably like it too. More like a general store with lots of gadgets and stuff for men and women.

Sportsman's Warehouse 1761 E, AZ-69
Self explanatory.

C-A-L Ranch 1048 Willow Creek Rd
Western/Ranch stuff, clothes, boots and shoes also some hard to find and unexpected stuff.

J&G Gun Sales.
Decent prices on new and used guns, ammo etc. They do record ammo sales due to being forced into the Fast and Furious fiasco.

If I can help you with other places let me know and I will try.

Oh I forgot one of the most important ones:

You will need to change need to AZ licenses, registrations, titles etc.

https://footework.com/
201 Grove Avenue

Unless you would rather deal with the MVD (yes AZ calls it the MVD)these people are amazingly fast, friendly and AFIK charge no more than the MVD.

A year ago this last October, I got to visit Las Vegas- the tail end of our time out west we spent in Laughlin NV. Just across the Snake river was AZ- our hosts took us to Oatman AZ. Wild donkeys and fun times!

I figured to help. He's still groggy. I lived there for a couple of years. Rode almost every day. When it snowed in Vegas, I'd ride down town to watch the cars crash.
