Hey all- I came up with what I think is a dang good idea for a new product, still hashing out design details... once I complete my idea, then what? Indiegogo or something like that? I'd rather not be the "babe in the woods" here, and I feel this idea is quite viable... what say youn's? |

Document it. Pictures, drawings, theory of operation documents. (With circles and arrows and a paragraph on the back of each one explaining what each one was ) Put all that in a big envelope and mail it to yourself. Do not open it. That way if, as you’re telling other people about your invention as a function of getting it patented, someone swipes it, you have some dated evidence that it was your idea. |

Seems I remember that trick... will get to working on that. I just thought of this yesterday, time to flesh things out.

My dad did the mail thing and then had it notarized with a seal on the envelope and put it in a safe deposit box. |
