I would not have followed him outside to confront him again. They may have needed a cleanup on aisle 1 though. I would not suggest pulling a gun on anyone and making a threat to them. How would I have reacted? I do not want to claim anything without having been in that situation. I know the outcome of personal confrontations in the past (adrenaline is a powerful drug). To bad he did not keep the perp on camera.

I love that he said "pull the trigger or put the gun down and fight me"...

I don't think I'd have said that, but I like it anyway.

I would wager he wanted to get a plate number from whatever car the pinhead ran off to.
Then the pinhead probably saw him again.

You never know, perhaps they were both pinheads.

Really would love to see the security footage of this little circus.

Last time someone pulled a pistol on me, I told them, "Shoot me and I will own you!" It was distracting enough to give me time to get away. That was over 30 years ago.

You can kiss that concealed carry permit good-bye.

Precisely the argument against them . . . . folks with no clue of what an imminent threat is.

Exactly.

With the card comes HUGE responsibility. It's not a "you've become Clint Eastwood"...it's "watch your step even MORE".

He's lucky the victim wasn't carrying. Even here in Maryland - with no Stand Your Ground - that's enough of a threat to justify a defense shooting.

Not to mention just plain freakin' stupid.

But...it's the MAGA folks who are crazy...?

The media celebrity cabal has convinced a large number of people that Trump and his supporters are imminent threats. He likely felt justified. Or perhaps his mother should have kept a better eye on him in the grocery store.

Here is one of my top rules when carrying. "Do not flip someone off!" This rule means that I must must not be the initiator. I go so far as to apologize when I am not at fault. It cost so much less to stop than starting.

Shame more folks don't have to go through some of Massad Ayoob's writings and training.

I've had to go through so much over the years I suspect I'm a poor person to have in this "I'd shoot the bastard" conversations.

I also think . . having been shot 3 times has served to shape my thinking and response plans in such situations.

Carry on.

Just had to ask.

I was amazed at what a small projectile it takes to start your throat closing up on you. Those that say they would do such and such are the ones that usually freeze up.

My experience is pretty limited . . . just USMC and The White House assignment . . . but . . and chalk this up to personal opinion and observations from 51 years in construction . . . not ascribing any credibility beyond my personal pinion . . is that when the shit hits the fan folks do what they are trained.

Hahahahaha . . I also just, this minute, completed corporate workplace violence response training.

I told someone at work I have a policy not to go to countries where my big mouth would put me in prison. (I sometimes offend my friends with comments where I have failed to consider that a cliche might be offensive. In fact I did so Sunday. Had to apologize to a buddy. )

The Governor has asked me, and any others that disagree with him, to leave his state.

So it may be hypocritical of me to ask the Socialists to go to Venezuela, or the Sharia supporters to go to Yemen.

I've been shot at twice.

The first time I ran for my life and hid in a ditch covered in mud so I would not bee seen.

The second time I hid and when I realized the shooter was shooting a pellet gun at me, I ambushed him and beat him with the stock.

The last time someone pointed a gun at me (and a friend), I froze and the friend beat the guy up and then gave the handgun to the police after explaining what happened. That event took 2 years to resolve through the courts.

I have had someone empty a clip into my house. Since it was a 22, I slept through the whole thing. I got to dig bullets out of one of my redwoods and my bathroom wall. That is a long story and took many many years to resolve, culminating with the shooters untimely death.

No plans to talk to the police. Doesn’t matter what he plans on. I suppose very few people plan on getting arrested.

Damn, Court...sorry to hear about your state's 2.3B (yep, that's a B) revenue deficit now that the rich are fleeing....

"Sure....the rich can pay more taxes to support our (Dems) socialist plans..."

Yeah.

Until they flee the state.

And....they will.

And....they are.

I need to buy more rental properties here in Maryland, so all the NY/NJ/CA refugees have somewhere to go! : )

Wisdom from Carlson.

https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/tucker-carlson-why -the-left-so-desperately-wanted-to-believe-in-juss ie-and-not-in-america

“So why does the left insist on inventing bigoted bogeymen waiting around every dark corner? Maybe because stoking race hatred ensures continued power for the Democratic Party. Divided populations are easier to manipulate and rule. There would be no Democratic coalition without racial animosity. It is what holds their constituencies together. That is the point of identity politics. It is why they are forever reopening the wound.”

I’ll forgive him for calling it the democratic party instead of the democrat party. He should know better, though.

Smollett threat letter called "enormous mistake"; Purported attack location identified; Federal charges "certain"

Now it's coming out that he was involved in the death threat letter that he received! That's going to get him into federal court with potential terrorism charges. When it rains, it pours. It's certainly pouring on Smollett. Probably because he has chosen to stand under the drain spout!

So, why’d she have her window open so early on frigid Tuesday morning?

“Because I was smoking pot,” she laughed. “That’s why I haven't talked to the cops, too.”

Sounds like Smollett has some hate issues...he hates himself for being a gay black man. I hope he gets some treatment while he's incarcerated for his federal felony charges...

Don't mess with the Mail. Laws older than this country protect the customers of the U.S. Postal Service. Postal Inspectors are Serious Sheepdogs. Over stretched, over worked, and mostly focused on internal crime, they are surprisingly often the first through the door in terrorism cases.

Every Postal employee, on his first day, watches a video of a clerk being arrested at gunpoint, with brutal efficiency, by Postal Inspectors. His crime? Stealing the nickles out of charity solicitation letters. Zero tolerance. That's the message, and the fact. You steal from the customer, the Union tells management to send you to prison. Federal prison. ( by tradition, Leavenworth Kansas )

Look at it this way, the Postal Service would love nothing more than to investigate a crime and put someone away.

That's WAY more exciting than their day to day.

Think about it. How much of your mail doesn't make it to your mailbox? That is some hardcore efficiency. I have been pretty impressed with the control over that many handlers.

Ship enough things and you'll find the chinks in the postal armor, but I agree that the vast majority gets where it's supposed to.

Just recently had a part get picked up by USPS but never delivered. Marked return to sender. Same part was sent a second time and was routed to MN before it was corrected identified as misrouted and rerouted to TN.

Had a few items look like they were kicked all the way from origin to destination.

Remember "The Firm" from a John Grisham novel? The twist ending is based on real law. If you haven't seen it, no spoilers beyond "twist ending". Any Grisham novel movie is worth a watch.

I'm not a fan of Tom Cruise the person, but he's been in some great movies. Some stinkers, too.

I didn't say they were perfect. But, I haven't had a shipment stolen since the early 80s. I still want my toolbox back.

When I was a very young children, I got rich dumpster diving in the USPS bins. I was amazed companies sent everything up to a $1 bill in the mail.

Got caught twice. They shooed us off the property with our hands and pockets full of nickels and pennies.

The postmaster told us our only crime was trespassing since everything in the dumpster is not in their control anymore and not subject to theft laws.

I like my postal service folks. They go out of their way to make sure our mail is picked up and delivered accurately and take it personal when they mis-deliver a letter.
