Don't know what to make of it. Don't know enough about this aspect to comment. Struck me as interesting, however. https://trademarks.justia.com/882/62/buell-8826285 9.html |

Am I missing something? This says the current owner is Liquid Asset Partners LLC. I thought they owned EBR and Harley owned the Buell trademark Either way, this could be interesting. Do we dare hope? |

An anonymous poster here a few years ago, who was apparently a lawyer for HD, stated that they had been told not to make any efforts to enforce the Buell trademarks. Apparently HD’s trademark on the Buell name lapsed, and LAP has now applied to trademark Buell. If LAP is successful, they’ll own the legal rights to the Buell brand name. |

They are talking about doing "boutique" production, so it makes sense to lock down the name/brand... |

I'm always too slow. If I had known, could have applied the day before and then gifted Erik his good name back. |

The USPTO has an entire collection of abandoned Buell trademarks . . . . there for the taking. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show .cgi?tpc=253912&post=2565998#POST2565998 |

So is LAP "attempting" to sell the overpriced "Buell" hats & shirts on eBay evidence so that they can prove that the name had no value so they can claim it? Some type of legal maneuver to validate the Buell name on their EBRs? DAve |
