Aim your headlights.

Nothing pisses me off more than a 'leveled' truck that blinds me going up the road, because they didn't point the headlights in the right direction.

Do you carry a snatch block?

Yes I do. I have a bag that has a couple shackles and tree savers.

Way ahead of you. The beam pattern on the LEDs would suck if aimed too high anyway.

I carry a 25 foot solid 3 inch strap with integrated hooks and a 30 foot elastic stretchy 4 inch strap, and a 2 1/2 ton 50 foot cable come a long, and a farm jack.

I have only used recovery stuff on my Jeep after the rear pinion broke to where it would only move backwards. Drove it six of twelve miles in reverse in Tellico until it blew up the front drive shaft. THEN we used straps on my Jeep.

I got pictures of very similar stuff Mark. Royal Blue could be difficult in rainy season.

Way ahead of you

Thank you!

Hopefully you don't have the type of LEDs that Jeepers around here are running. They seem to like the ones where you can see the LED when looking at it from the front - which, no matter how you aim it, is blinding.

The CORRECT type to use for street use, is the type where the LED is mounted towards the lens, facing the reflector, like a Trucklite unit. That means the only light going downrange is coming from the reflector, allowing it to be properly focused and out of oncoming traffic's eyes.

That's also why lots of incandescent bulbs have silver "caps" painted on the tops of the bulbs, and lots of housings have metal caps inside to hide the bulb itself from view.

JW Speaker Lights. High end, well engineered light system. Not just sticking an LED bulb in the crappy Jeep reflector. Similar to the Trucklights.

Hey Sifo, here are the dates that each Jeep Jamboree goes on sale.

Make sure you have set up an account with JJUSA so you will be ready to go.

Times are Pacific Mount time.

Thanks, I got that email yesterday. I have to see if I can pull some strings to get the last two days of school off work. Trying to make it happen.

Took it winter wheelin' less than an hour ago. Just to get down to the deer camp on the back 40. The weather has defiantly turned to winter here, despite what the calendar may say. New suspension feels good hitting some bumps. I also found I had the exhaust just rubbing a cross member. I got that straightened out this morning too.

they should put that body on top of a 1 ton Ram frame with a Cummins... I might be able to make payments on that.

I'm liking that new pickup quite a bit. It'll probably cost more that I can even afford to dream about, but that hardtop is a real looker.

It was unveiled in Vegas today.

I am impressed that the top and doors come off and the windshield lays down.

it needs a cummins and I would like a 2 door version with a full length bed.

the V6 doesn't have enough towing capacity... it would be SQUEALING to pull my car hauler with the Jeep on it.

I'll wait a little longer.
But I do want to buy a "My other Jeep is a Jeep" bumper sticker.

Well...buy a Ram 2500, Mark.

That's part of the issue FCA has had with the Ecodiesel Ram 1500 - people think "it's a diesel, I can pull a house".

NO.

It's a FUEL ECONOMY engine. It's a LIGHT DUTY engine. If you want to use something like a Cummins...get a Cummins.

My Ecodiesel Grand Cherokee can tow 7500 lbs...but it'll never see a trailer because I HAVE a Cummins, and I use IT to work. The Grand, I drive for fuel economy (24mpg commuting in the mountains; 32 crusing the interstate; full time AWD 5500 lb SUV).

If you want a bad-ass little diesel project, check out the Banks 630T:

https://shop.bankspower.com/i-2556-13110-engine-ga le-banks-630t-v6-3-0l-diesel.html

Gale got the rights to the Ecodiesel, directly from VM Motori. Builds them for the military for FAV's...and, as you can see in the above link, as crate motors. Get one, drop it in your Wrangler!

Nice looking truck. I hate to say it though, the more things you try to make a vehicle do, the few things it will do well. I don' see it replacing either my Jeep, or my truck. I'm sure it will be a hit with some though.

I've seen a JKU conversion to a pickup in person that looked pretty much just like this. That one looked great in person. This appears to be very close in appearance. Almost makes me wonder if what I saw was a prototype vehicle.

Looks like the green one was a concept vehicle built on the JK platform. I think the nailed the styling on that BTW. The production truck will be the one in the video I posted, built on the JL platform.

Sadly, I predict you are going to be disappointed twice.

Product endorsement time

I just received my "LockNLube" grease gun coupler from Amazon today.

I went right out to the garage and installed it on my grease gun.
It works GREAT!
Easy on, Easy off.
All the grease went INTO the fitting not all over the place.
I wish I would have had one a LONG time ago.

I have a small pile of parts to install.

New top
Aluminum sway arms
front windshield braces.

BUT the Jeep is in the shop getting new ball joints.
She has the death wobble.
Jeep was fine until someone took out the 3" springs and replaced them with 4"

Merry Christmas to ME!!
