I have went the Rolling Thunder protest many times.
I can understand why it will "officially" end but I don't have to like it.
Can't wait to see what happens in 2020

Yeah, that's a bummer. I get it too, it got too big.

Not hard to believe. No one likes loud Harleys, let alone hundreds or thousands of them at the same time. I am sure all of them were courteous to the locals.

I've been around those types of guys most of my life and the vast majority of them are awesome folks! Every time I've been dead on the side of the rode it was one of "those guys" that pulled over to help!

You are correct, most of them were probably alright people, but it only takes a few douches to ruin it for everyone. And at the sheer number of participants if 5% were acting stupid, that still is quite a few.

I stopped going when I had to wait over 6 hours to get out of the pentagon parking lot.

Get there at nine. Start rolling out at noon and still set there until 3 before I started my bike.

But, it was really nice to see the people lining the streets and waiving

One year I was down in Dayton during Biketoberfest. I was talking to a cop and asked him what group gave them the most trouble. He said Spring Breaker's were the worst, then came the NASCAR group. The biker's were the least of their problems. You're right though, there's jerks in every group!
