Nothing beats a set of studio headphones. It's always disappointing going from my Audio Technica headphones to my truck, even though it has a nice aftermarket sound system. It's like going from 4k to 720p. BTW thanks to whoever it was that recommended Sweetwater. The sales rep there recommended some killer gear at great prices, I couldn't be happier with their service. | ||

Yeah, sweetwater is the quadratec of sound gear. I've given a lot of my money to them, and to monoprice for cables. Monoprice also - if you do production work - has some stellar deals on LED stage lighting.... | ||

Sifo..... Geeking madly! At a now defunct company, that deserves it's own rant on it's downfall, ( some other time... I worked there and am opinionated ) a disgruntled employee took an entire Jo Block set, wrung them together, and put them in a vacuum chamber used for optical coatings. About a $12k set. It wasn't discovered for a week. During which he'd quit. They had become it. One homogeneous, vacuum welded single piece of steel. I literally could place this 26 odd inch bar on wood blocks, supported on the ends and jump up and down in the middle without separating the blocks. Nothing known to us could fix them. Penetrating oil, high pressure helium chamber, induction coil heating in waves & liquid nitrogen baths...... Nada. I had it in my department, in a display case with a note that if anyone did it again the company would bury the body in an unmarked grave on site, until they took it and shipped it back to the Johansson factory, so they could display it, with an edited version of the Redacted company notice. As the Johansson/Brown & Sharpe rep put it, "It's been a joke at the company for nearly a century,but this is the first documented case of anyone being that stupid or angry.
