No, not the company... the COUNTRY. Gotta admit, I'm really liking the way these two new Royal Enfields look and I'm eagerly awaiting to read the road test evaluations: http://www.motorcycledaily.com/2018/11/royal-enfie ld-650s-in-the-flesh-these-could-be-the-sleeper-bi kes-hitting-the-u-s-market-next-year-with-video/ |

Although Chinese made, the SSR Buccaneer is a cute looking bike too. http://www.ssrmotorsports.com/store/street/street- index.php |

I think the big reason for that is the lack of electronic rider aids. Bikes get so expensive because the manufacturers have been making bikes way more powerful than they need to be, so they add all the expensive computer-assisted rider aids to protect the riders from themselves. I like "KISS" motorcycles. |

I'm assuming they'll be at the Javit's Center. Please give us a report after the show. |

Personally, I want to try out one of those Hymalayans. |

Yeah, those Himalayans are dang cool too. Unless I get a D/S bike of some sort, I'm perfectly happy with my '77 R75/7. It'd be nice to build about a 3-4 bike garage though. |

I recently read a piece on The Royal Enfield 's in it the QC guy said that all the bikes headed to the US get a thorough going over upon arrival here in the US and that since doing so warranty/complaints have been reduced by 90%. Granted their own man said it but there must be some truth to it. They look nice, and fun. (Message edited by Skinstains on November 20, 2018) |

$6K is a good price. I wonder why they put the primary on the right side? Just to be different? |

Very cool. I also love the fact that they still come with a kick starter! |

Have they ever gotten beyond their typical Indian "Quality Control?" Article references a 3 year warranty but still, the history of Indian moto-products hasn't exactly been inspiring. (Message edited by slaughter on November 28, 2018) |

The fact that they're offering a three-year, unlimited mileage warranty would certainly imply they are confident of their quality control. When BMW changed their warranty to three years or 36K miles is when I realized they weren't paying as much attention to their quality as they had in the past. Skinstains pretty much stated what I'd heard (above) too. |

The local BMW dealership (where I also purchased my two Zeroes) used to carry Royal Enfield. I wonder if they still do? Going to have to check that out... |

Just about everybody is saying that the bikes are good. Even Kevin Cameron likes the engineering. I might just have to go check one out. Magazine articles and pictures aren't the same as seeing one in the flesh. I wonder if I can get a demo ride? |

My local dealer had a Continental and an Interceptor on show on Saturday. I hope they have demo rides on them soon. The only thing I could initially fault without riding one is how hard the seats felt and that's coming from someone used to an S1W. My S3T seat is like a pillow in comparison. |
