Thanks everyone. It's easy to have a good looking bike when you start with an XB. I'm coming in by way of Kingsport, Tennessee. Buellish, Next year in Suches!
YES.... Laundry done. Bank when it opens. license, same. Have to clean the office this evening and try to get to sleep early. I will get to see my two youngest sisters on the way to Twos. I haven't seen them in over 29 years. There may be a hand full of nieces and nephews there that I've never seen. And a Brother-n-Law I've never met too. I think I like him already.
Have fun, Matthew! Pics as you go, I'll enjoy them vicariously. Hope you found that place I mentioned, and the peaceful place you're seeking.
RD- what a gift! I've only one sister, a stepdad, and two aunts left on my dad's side. Plus a few awesome cousins. Cherish your family, claim new ones as life goes along.
Matthew, Have you went back for the car yet? I broke down and installed the wiring for my Gerbings on the bike. (just in case) Last year I endured wetness and low temps on the way home. I can throw the Gerbing jacket liner, gloves, and socks in a bag with the controller on top of my top case. It will just draft off me, if I don't use them. Will keep me from shivering if needed. It's hard to convince myself to stop and hook them up.
Seems to be passing by... The car is here, I will go back for the bike tomorrow probably. I just wanted to get camp set up and not have to pack everything on my back
Matthew, I'll allow you first dibs if I ever sell the Beemer. No problems packing gear on that thing. Back when I had the XBSX, I managed to pack enough kit to equal a human passenger. Silly, but it worked. Vern remembers- I chased down about 6 E TN sport riders going back on 360. Didn't quite catch/pass the ZX10 before 411, but what the hey. I think I cooked the motor on that run...
They are saying 42 degrees tomorrow morning. I hope to leave at 7:00. I just put the liner in my jacket and broke out the riding pants. I didn't wash the bike either, why invite rain!!
I'll be here. Packing is underway, I just stopped for a minute for a cup of coffee.
I don't believe I'll wash the bike today. She's fairly clean and I don't want to provoke the weather gods. The ride home from April Buells in the rain was a miserable test of my endurance.
Ate a whole pizza by myself and bought the last three cheddar bacon biscuits. Back at TWoS now, and managed to get a fire started even though it's windy... The wood is pretty wet
And, as you can see I pretty much have the place to myself
I made focaccia bread pizza two days ago- very good, but not quite TGB good! It's hard to beat a wood-fired pizza. And, I guess you know that's Benton's bacon on those bisquits!
