You know; If I were to go to Buelltoberfest, I could stop at Cumberland Falls and camp for a night on the way home and maybe see a Moonbow. Now, THAT would be cool!

I was thinking of trailering the Uly down but now I'm thinking about riding the couch and pulling my camping trailer since all the rooms are taken. The reason being I want to ride on down to Florida to visit friends after Buelltoberfest. Either way I'll be there for the Roads, Ribs and all you Rascals!
Update #1 - I am definitely coming solo. Update #2 - I am coming up early, I'll be in the campground on Tuesday 10/16/18 for some much needed rest and relaxation.
If anybody's coming early, I'll be there to welcome you.
tick tock... I can smell the cool mountain breeze and I can hear the trickling creek. I even see that big snapping turtle at the bend in the creek when I close my eyes and think about Suches.
Right there with you Bro. I've been going over the maps. Figuring the best way to ride there. Planning extra stops for dry weather, etc. Got the route down to about 658 miles. Plan on rolling into Two's Thursday afternoon after coming through the Dragon and maybe picking up some Jim's to go. Need to get the luggage sorted still.
I believe I have been canceled. My spry active healthy 83 year old mom was in a bad head on car accident today.
A 25 year old young lady hit her head on. Cops said it was clearly the young girls fault.
Compound fracture of the left ankle/leg, fractured right leg, 5 broken ribs, bruised everything below the belly button. She just started blood thinners a few months ago.
She is tough! Never lost conciousness. Talking to us as she was getting wheeled into surgery.
Since she is the main care giver for her 86 year old husband, who was going home to hospice care from a stint at the hospital, then at the nursing home, in a few days have just had their lifes end time planning wiped out.
I was elected to go tell him how bad she got hurt and that she may not be able to get back to him before his termination. He is not expected to make but a few more weeks.
Tough day I guess. We all have them now and again.
Thoughts and prayers, Vern. Here if you need anything.
Anyone headed to BTF through Maryland, if you need a hard piece of floor to crash on, my doors open. I won't be making the trip - have gigs both the 19th and 20th on top of working days - but happy to put up some rabblerousers on the way to or from the event if needed.
Notice: Maryland has a unit called, “Maryland Coordination and Analysis Center.” They have license plate reader cameras around the state that read license plates of vehicles. Some are connected to Criminal Background Check programs and Permit/License Holder lists from the different states that will supply them with that information. Do use caution when even driving through Maryland. They can know if you have a firearms permit/license without even stopping you. Maryland does not honor any other state Permit/Licenses. Joe, You need to move so I can visit. Above is the first reason I don't go to MD. LOL
My house is too damn nice though...and we do currently have a pro-gun Governor. First term, so he hasn't been able to make any real sweeping changes, but word is there's an extremely high percentage of pass rate for the HQL/wear&carry right now, as well as for "carry triangle" restriction removal.
We shall see.
Good news is, once I pass the MD stuff...I'll be good just about anywhere in the States.
Dang I hate to hear that, Vern. Godspeed to your mom's recovery, your dad's (stepdad?) good caregivers looking over him, and your safe travels, friend.
