I think there was a previous discussion here a few months ago when a dirt-track inspired street version of the Indian Scout was announced. There's a good thread on ADVrider about the bike; I thought I'd post some of that info here.

So apparently this will no longer be considered a Scout variant, but an all-new motorcycle. Interesting features include trellis frame, under-seat gas tank, and the "gas tank" is the air box (wonder where they got that idea?). USD front forks, radial mount dual front calipers, mono shock rear suspension.
Looks like it could be a very cool motorcycle. I'd bet some of the former Buell/EBR guys at Polaris had a hand in this.
The 1202cc V-twin pumps out 120 horsepower and 85lb-ft of torque, which is more than enough on a bike weighing just under 500lbs.
While the base FTR 1200 is relatively basic, keeping a single analog speedometer and digital read-out, the FTR 1200S ups the tech with a customizable 4.3-inch LCD touchscreen, defeatable ABS, three ride modes and lean angle-sensitive traction and stability control.
The Indian Motorcycle FTR 1200 and 1200S Will be available in spring 2019 at $12,999 and $14,999 respectively with a race-replica colorway at $15,999.
Sounds pretty cool. OTOH, my EBR 1190SX that cost $4k less with 65 more horsepower and ~80 pounds less weight, sounds better all the time.
Pretty slick; they didn't compromise TOO much from the concept to production.
Other than the exhaust, it bears an overall striking resemblance to my S1W. Motor in a trellis frame, 2 wheels, plate mounted on the rear tire...and a one-cheek-seat on a miniscule tail section. With some XB/Loki bits added in - radiators, top-mount airbox that "looks like a gas tank"... Be interesting to take one for a spin when they start arriving...
I have to say that it shows a lot of potential and promise.
I'll be honest;I don't want to like it, but I find it attractive in spite of that. If it runs as good as it looks, it'll be a winner. I'd take it in a heartbeat over a Ducati Monster; it doesn't have Rube Goldberg inspired valve actuation. But I still prefer a new Roadster to either of the above bikes.
I just read Steve Anderson's First Ride report over at Cycle World. It sounds pretty nice, but the seat height is 33.1". I've got a 29" inseam, so that looks like a deal breaker for me. Still, I'll wait until I do a Demo Ride before passing final judgement. It was a Demo Ride that made me fall in love with Buells. It was also a Demo Ride that killed my enthusiasm for a Triumph.
Before I commit to spending 15 Grand, I want to ride one and see if I'll be happy on it.
60" wheelbase seems a bit long; guess it depends on the geometry.
I like the twin Brembos - wonder if they did it right with a Brembo MC. Time will tell.
Forks LOOK like Ohlins...but you'd think they'd call it out.
Touchscreen and cruise - pretty cool. If its the same hardware they use in the RideCommand on the heavyweights, you can run that screen - reliably - in snowboarding gloves. Apple could learn from them.
And I will say, the ride modes make a HUGE difference - they debuted them on the heavyweights a month ago, and WOW, what a difference.
Be interesting to see one when it comes out. Anxious to take one for a spin.
