If the air is hotter than you are, the air blowing on you will warm you. If the air is very humid, there will be no evaporative cooling either. If you're going really fast, friction will melt your face shield.
Actually I know all too well what it's like. Riding out of Vegas at 117 degrees. I spread my legs to gather more air and it was like a convection oven!! At that point I tucked in behind the windshield!

My concern was the creeper element.How did the kids react when they found out you were taking their pictures? What did their parents think?
I explain my project to parents days in advance and if they are interested in being in the series, I ask the child if they are also interested. We agree on a day and I show up that morning about an hour before the bus arrives so I can set up. The child or teenager then comes out about 20 minutes before the bus arrives — if I'm lucky! Some come out five minutes before the bus arrives.
I could see what would happen if a cameraman just showed up one morning in my neighborhood.

Yeah, dude has to have a deliberate, all in OK approach fo sho. I laughed about the other guy who didn't figure that out on the front end, got the po po called on him.
Still- talk about pictures telling a story. Great concept for a photo project.
