I'm celebrating by working and then hosting ASBN at my house. We will have a ride report from Alan Smith and possibly a BMST report from Sergio Chaves. We will eat, drink, fellowship.

And now, for a list of truths.

Socialism is a lie.

Beer has carbs, drink wine.

It's best to let dog poop dry in the sun for a bit before picking up. Unless your away from home, in which case pick it up immediately.

Just because I smoke an occasional cigar, does not make me a "smoker".

When guilty of using a poor choice of words in front of wife and dinner guests, roll over immediately, don't let it live through the night into breakfast the next day. Don't do it.

Blake hates ice cream.

Yes, Happy Labor Day. I'd be happier if I didn't have to work this evening, but I'm grateful for my work and do enjoy it for the most part. Also, I'd be a LOT happier if my left foot's plantar fasciitis would go away. Owie.

Here's hoping all youn's have a great Labor Day holiday, enjoy the BBQ/pool/water/picnic/ballgame/friends and family, et cetera.

Fixed the ceiling fan/light in the bedroom today.

Watched all 3 parts of "The Rise and Fall pf Buell".

Just finished a delicious egg sandwich for brunch.

Almost time to crack a beer and fire up the Weber.

Awesome day so far!
Hope y'all are enjoying today in your own ways.

Just finished having brisket, beer, and bratwurst with my neighbors. I sous vide the brisket at 155 for 24 hours, then 165 for 12, followed by three hours in my big green egg at 225 degrees. It was ridiculously tender. Homemade cheesecake for desert - my mother’s recipe.

Loaned my brother the tools needed to fix his car.
He just took me out for Mex and Margarita's.
Getting ready to clean some old soda kegs so we can fill them with Imperial Stout in the morning. It will be ready to drink by the first snowfall!

1130, home after a slow nite. As James Brown said, get on your good foot.

My sweetie is in bed resting... one more bourbon/scotch/beer and a stint in the hot-tub, all's copacetic.
Got the day off tomorrow... ride or honeydo's?

I have been busy setting up a wireless dog fence in my backyard. No more sneaking out for my Pomeranian, I just hope that training him about his boundary won't be hard as I expected.

BTW, I got the product from this pet supplies online shop.

I worked, ordered a new rear tire, had my new shifter fall off despite still having a snug bolt, and found that the core of my fancy race muffler has come loose on my DR650.

I work primarily to support my transportation, it seems. There are worse things.

Thanks for chiming in! I picked up wet dog poop with a bag twice Monday. Just thought I'd let you know.

We had a great meeting after barbecuing some burgers and dogs. We held the meeting at my house, as I like to do that at times. We had 17, but missed Jim Higgins, Mike and Adam and a few others.

We heard reports from the BMST, Alan's mega trip and other stuff. And we toasted two couples in our group who recently got hitched. We are a tribe at ASBN. We are gearing up for our 20th in December.

I don't know where I would go to find better people than the people that make up ASBN. Really.

We had two EBR's, in addition to others and several exceptionally cool bikes. Someday I will have an EBR.

Erik, you are admired and respected.
