If Trump doesn't force the truth out of the Media, it will be buried. No sense at all in trying to make them like him, it's just not going to happen, and wishing it would is pointless.

The Leftists are The Mean Girls. They won't like you no matter how much you try. Far better to undercut their popularity and live proudly. Better for the digestion.

And it's working. The Majority of Americans now think that the Big Media lies to them on a regular basis, in politics. That's devastating, long run, to revenues. At this rate CNN is going to want Government Money to stay in business.

Bingo. 100% accurate and correct.

P45 has done a brilliant job of branding the Fake News (from the very beginning of his candidacy, and even before that if one studies his tweet history), and the DSM (Deep State Media) is powerless to NOT make a big deal out of it, AND the whole process has awoken millions of Americans as to the existence of The Matrix (metaphorically speaking).

The left doesn't fight fair. Period.

But, we FINALLY have a president who fights back instead of rolling over and showing his wet spot.

Thank you, Mr. President.

2010 was a major shellacking for the Dems, and their fortunes have dwindled come every election time since (2012 doesn't count - Sen. NoName, chosen to represent conservative patriotism? Puke.)

^ Duh.

Typing in a hurry, and my copy editor (me) fell down on the job.

Remember who the Deep's enemy was in the run-up to the '08 election? NOT NoName (who was only pretending to be a Republican); it was Sarah Palin, and they savaged her without mercy.

In the run-up to the 2012 election, when R&R finally got close to reaching critical mass, they were ordered to stand down (IMO); glaring proof of that (IMO) was clearly evident watching the (so-called) debates.

Even then it took some last-minute cooking of the books (400,000 +/- votes, spread out among four swing states) on election night for Teh Won to "win" a second term.

I worry about the 2 coasts and Chicago, and the population density issue.

I feel your pain. I'm in the mountains of southwest Virginia. Our state, geographically speaking, votes vivid red. However, politically speaking our state is currently vivid blue because of the voting bloc in NoVA (and, to a lesser - but still significant - extent, Roanoke).

I hope to see a major political correction soon. Go Corey Stewart. : )

President Trump (can you remember a president in recent memory who has worked harder for the American worker than P45?) delivered remarks on tariffs, trade and jobs today in Granite City, Illinois following his tour of the Granite City Works/United State Steel Corporation. I'd post up a YouTube link to his speech, but doubtful you'd watch it.

Inspiring, however, especially near the end when he invited several GCW/USSC folks to the podium to speak. No knees were taken, no pussy hats were donned, and no one demanded we dismantle ICE.

I *think* these folks are damn happy to have jobs. : )

So, if you won't watch/listen to P45's speech, perhaps you'll at least peruse this photo taken at the entrance to USSC?

MAGA, baby.

Not my words:

quote:

I’m from Granite City. Never thought I’d live to see the day that a U.S. president would care about our dying town and be doing something to help it. This is a happy day.

quote:

Saw the police lined up at all overpasses awaiting motorcade between Lambert Airport and the state line to IL. Granite City is just across the river. There wasn’t much else to speak of as far as careers in Granite City other than this steel mill. It’s a blessing to have it back in operation. MAGA.

quote:

Guy on Fox Business said this was an invite only event with 500-600 in attendance. Also said the workers he interviewed never thought steel would come back-not just this specific factory but never come back at all! Finally we have REAL hope and REAL change!

quote:

That was a different kind of a speech at the end. After the employees, he went off script, started talking about NATO and the press. It was like he knew other networks were covering him, so he was talking to new voters, convincing them of his plans for America, and he was warning people about the negative media. He explained his strategy slowly and deliberately. Very persuasive.

quote:

What an amazing speech, just when you thought his last one was his best. He was among the patriots and workers who represent the backbone of America – Steel; and he paid them the credit they deserved (along with the miners and the people who get the raw materials to the mills).

Who writes these speeches? No matter, he was off script and speaking from his heart more often than not. Fantastic sense of pride and patriotism this man has for “US.”

Favorite line? Too many to list; but, at the end, he was all about the deplorables, those of us who just go to work and do our jobs.

MARIA BARTIROMO, FBN ANCHOR: Joining us right now to weigh in from Washington is Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross.

Mr. Secretary, it's good to see you this morning. Thanks so much for joining us.

WILBUR ROSS, COMMERCE SECRETARY: Thank you for having me on, Maria.

BARTIROMO: Well, this was a big deal yesterday with the president and -- and Mr. Juncker. Can you go through what was -- what was agreed upon?

ROSS: Surely.

The objectives of a new trade negotiation have been very firmly set. Zero -- we're going towards zero tariffs, zero non-tariff trade barriers, zero subsidies. So that should really level the playing field and enable American companies to be fully competitive and get the kind of market access that they need.

Meanwhile, the steel and aluminum tariffs stay in place. We will continue pursuing our investigation of the automotive 232 and hopefully these negotiations will be completed fairly quickly so that we can get to the stable situation.

BARTIROMO: So is the plan to eventually do away with the aluminum and steel tariffs or the auto tariffs? I mean even on light trucks, the U.S. charges, what, 25 percent, right?

ROSS: Well, you notice on -- on light trucks the -- there was an exception for automotive products. It said we'd work towards zero tariffs on non-automotive industrial products. Steel and aluminum, there's no attention to abandon those industries. So the president is very happy with the progress they have made in opening new facilities. I'm joining them today as we go out to visit one that had just recently been reopened. He's not going to do anything to destroy steel and aluminum for their newfound substance.

BARTIROMO: Was there a timeline discussed, secretary, in terms of when we might see actual clarity on what the trade deal will look like between the U.S. and the E.U.?

ROSS: There's no precise timetable set because that's not a meaningful thing. But the president made it very clear he is not going to sit around for the normal two, three years to get a trade deal done. Since we've got the broad principles agreed, it now should be more filling in the blanks than starting from ground zero.

BARTIROMO: And what do you think about these tariffs hitting Detroit. General Motors, Ford and Fiat Chrysler all yesterday lowered guidance. Adjusting their full year outlooks as they revealed lower than expected second quarter earnings, all of which were impacted by the rising cost of steel and aluminum.

So, Mr. Secretary, will the president's negotiations with the E.U. reverse what's gone on with the automakers? We are already seeing that they're expecting this to impact their business.

ROSS: Well, I have said before, the impact of steel and aluminum on the auto industry's cost is really fairly minor. It's about 1 percent on the cost of the vehicle. So to the degree that that might be passed along, that's possible.

But the offsetting thing is what you're seeing in employment figures. Record low unemployment. More jobs available than there are people available to fill them for the first time ever. Record low unemployment for African-Americans, for Hispanics, for women, for young people. I mean the economy is booming and that's what's really important.

The other important thing, though, is the president has made clear he's not going to abandon the industries that he's just helped to revitalize.

BARTIROMO: Right.

What's the next priority then, Wilbur? We've been talking a lot about the potential for a deal with Mexico. Is that the priority now as you continue to work with the E.U.?

ROSS: Well, we're working on a lot of different fronts all at the same time and that shows you the speed and the breadth of the president's scope of these trade issues. We have to get them fixed in a fairly short period of time. They've gone on too long unchecked by prior administrations.

As to Mexico, the new president very quickly appointed the team that will do the trade negotiations for him and has made very clear he wants to get a deal done. And he did all this without even waiting for his inauguration. He'll be inaugurated on the first of December and it looks pretty clear that his goal would be to try to get something resolved between the United States and Mexico prior to even his inauguration.

BARTIROMO: So you think -- do you -- is it fair to say then the change in leadership in Mexico also was very positive towards better relations with the U.S.?

ROSS: Well, potentially so. It certainly has made us all feel a lot better than we did during some of the campaign rhetoric. We're --

BARTIROMO: And you think that Canada will be close behind once you do do a deal -- a new NAFTA deal with Mexico?

ROSS: Well, we hope so. But the immediate focus is much more in Mexico. The issues there are more complex and we think we can get very good progress very quickly.

Mexico has a newly-elected (but not yet inaugurated) president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador (aka "AMLO") who VERY much wants to play ball with the United States. This new dynamic with Mexico (consider our relationship with the outgoing president) is quite interesting.

As to Mexico, the new president very quickly appointed the team that will do the trade negotiations for him and has made very clear he wants to get a deal done. And he did all this without even waiting for his inauguration.

White House: N. Korea returns remains of American soldiers
Yonhap News Agency - 2018/07/27 11:19

WASHINGTON, July 26 (Yonhap) -- North Korea has transferred the remains of U.S. soldiers killed in the 1950-53 Korean War following a pledge by North Korean leader Kim Jong-un at his historic summit with U.S. President Donald Trump, the White House said Thursday.

The remains were carried out of Wonsan, North Korea, on a U.S. Air Force C-17 aircraft headed for Osan Air Base, south of Seoul, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said in a statement. The plane arrived at the base at around 11 a.m. (Korean time).

A formal repatriation ceremony will be held Aug. 1 at the base.

"At their historic meeting in Singapore, President Donald J. Trump and Chairman Kim Jong Un took a bold first step to achieve the complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, transform relations between the United States and North Korea, and establish enduring peace," Sanders said. "Today, the Chairman is fulfilling part of the commitment he made to the President to return our fallen American service members. We are encouraged by North Korea's actions and the momentum for positive change."

Onboard the aircraft were service members of the United Nations Command in South Korea and technical experts from the U.S. Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency.

"Today's actions represent a significant first step to recommence the repatriation of remains from North Korea and to resume field operations in North Korea to search for the estimated 5,300 Americans who have not yet returned home," Sanders said.

The U.S. is committed to handling the remains "with dignity" so the families of the fallen soldiers receive them "in an honorable manner," she added.

President Trump is not interested in simply keeping Congress in GOP hands; too many of the 'critters on the R side are actually D's in disguise.

Anyone who has even casually studied Trump the businessman, and now Trump the president, knows the man knows only one way to play: YUGE.

P45 is looking for a solid super-majority in Congress, nothing less (and he - and we - will get it, too).

November will be glorious.

I was thinking; If Liberals don't believe in biological gender then why did they march for women's rights?

I was thinking; If women do the same job for less money, why do companies hire men to do the same job for more money?

I was thinking; Since only 11 million people have Obama-Care, how will 24 million people die if it is repealed? Will an additional 13 million people be randomly shot?

I was thinking; We should stop calling them all 'Entitlements'. Welfare, Food Stamps, WIC, ad nausea are not Entitlements. They are taxpayer-funded handouts and shouldn't be called Entitlements at all. But, Social Security and Veterans Benefits are Entitlements because the people receiving them are entitled to them. They were earned and paid for by the recipients.

I was thinking; If you rob a bank in a Sanctuary City, is it illegal or is it just an Undocumented Withdrawal?

I was thinking; After the London 'Lone Wolf' terrorist attack, government officials arrested at least eight other 'Lone Wolves' who had conspired with the original 'Lone Wolf' in planning the 'Lone Wolf' attack. Why do they tell us even though all involved are Muslims, you can be assured that the 'Lone Wolf' attack has nothing at all to do with Islam, just like the other 1,000-plus 'Lone Wolf' attacks by Muslims, are completely unassociated with Islam?

I was thinking; Why is each ISIS attack now a reaction to Trump policies, but all ISIS attacks during Obama's term were due to Climate Change and a plea for jobs?

I was thinking; If Muslims want to run away from a Muslim country, does that mean they are Islamophobic?

I was thinking; If Democrats don't want foreigners involved in our elections, why do they think it's all right for illegals to vote?

I was thinking; Is the DNC is mad at Russia because it 'thinks' they are trying to manipulate our elections, or because Russia is exposing that the DNC is manipulating our elections?

I was thinking; How did the Russians get Debbie Wasserman Schultz and the DNC to steal the Primary from Bernie Sanders? How did Russia get Donna Brazile to leak debate questions to Hillary Clinton in advance of the debates?

I was thinking; Why is it that Democrats think Super delegates are fine, but they have a problem with the Electoral College?

I was thinking; If Donald Trump deleted all of his emails, wiped his server with Bleachbit and destroyed all of his phones with a hammer, would the Mainstream Media suddenly lose all interest in the story and declare him innocent?

I was thinking; If Hillary's speeches cost $250,000 an hour, how come no one shows up to her free speeches?

I was thinking; If you don't want the FBI involved in elections, don't nominate someone who's being investigated by the FBI.

I think this is a keeper for my discussions with the looney left

What kind of a lawyer would tape a client? So sad! Is this a first, never heard of it before? Why was the tape so abruptly terminated (cut) while I was presumably saying positive things? I hear there are other clients and many reporters that are taped - can this be so? Too bad!

I hear there are other clients and many reporters that are taped - can this be so? Too bad!

Brace for impact. : )

Four days later:

quote:

Giuliani: President Trump Has Recordings of Dozens of Journalists Discussing Him With Michael Cohen
CTH - July 29, 2018

During part of a Face The Nation interview earlier today, President Trump’s attorney innocuously dropped a bombshell revelation that Michael Cohen recorded hundreds of conversations, including dozens of interviews with journalists and reporters.

Some of those recordings between Cohen and journalists were recently passed along to Mr. Giuliani because the subject of them was his client, President Donald Trump.

Let that sink in.

President Trump has recordings, at least a dozen, of reporters discussing him, and their reporting/opinion of him, with Michael Cohen.

Apparently Michael Cohen recorded dozens of interviews with journalists about candidate Donald Trump, and President-elect Donald Trump, and President Donald Trump. Michael Cohen hated the Trump campaign; he made his opinion of the campaign abundantly clear. The media hate anything Trump etc. Now imagine what’s on those recordings…. The journalists did not know they were being recorded.

“Dozens” of recordings. With Michael Cohen and journalists discussing the campaign, president-elect, and President Trump; and because the subject of those recordings was his client, Donald Trump, the recordings of the journalists were turned over to Rudy Giuliani, President Trump’s lawyer.

Here’s the interview. The bombshell is quietly placed (revealed) at around 04:00 through 05:30. Watch:

https://youtu.be/NJ4HRVxVOvM

So President Trump and Rudy Giuliani have at least a dozen (or so) recordings of journalists discussing their opinions of, and intentions toward, their coverage of Donald Trump.

Conversations that thoroughly expose the MSM intentions toward the content of their coverage…. that the journalists never knew were being recorded.

Imagine what is on those recordings.

And President Trump has them.

Now: Does this “meeting” [from July 20] begin to make more sense:

Along the lines of the "get Kaine out" post above...we need to vote ALL of the slackers out of office. All the knuckleheads who are banking on the midterms, and saying "well, wait till after the elections and we'll vote on the wall"...

YOU'RE FIRED.

Get out.

Head out to your polls, and get these asshats out of office. Get someone in there who will DO something. Something we, the people, voted for. Something that matters to Americans, and bag the special interests and lobbyists. It's time to take back OUR government.
