It's a shame our President is such an evil, racist, self-centered fascist...isn't it?

This is outstanding news. My father fought in Korea. He didn't talk much about it (and I didn't push), but my research on his ship made it clear that he lost lots of brothers in arms while he was there for four campaigns. Bringing them home is outstanding.

Bravo, Mr. President, and bravo, Sec. Pompeo. Thank you.

The last few lines are worth reading the rest. Read it all to get context, though! Just because you hear a joke has a great punch line doesn't mean you can skip the set up and it be funny.

So, first they had pre-printed signs for all possible Trump nominees so they'd be ready to oppose whoever it was, and they sent out letters saying (literally) "the nomination of XX will set us back 100 years..." (they forgot to fill in the name), and now this:

http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2018/07/anti -iran-protests-rock-southern-iraq.php

https://www.timesofisrael.com/up-to-22-killed-incl uding-9-iranians-in-syria-strike-blamed-on-israel- report/

The war against Iran continues.

Israel makes a deal with Putin. We don't try and follow Obama's dream of deposing Assad from his dictatorship of Syria, an old ally of Russia, and enemy of Israel, and Russia pretends to ignore Israel destroying Iran.

Israel recognizes that Obama's policy of overthrowing secular governments, and replacing them with Islamist Theocracy dictatorships, is anti Israel, anti Western Civilization, and anti freedom.

( for the CNN watchers, secular means not a religious dictatorship. Might be a dictatorship! But not one that claims God wants them to murder all the Jews, or gays, or Christians, like the Muslim Brotherhood Obama supports. )

Putin's policy is to support Assad to keep Syria an ally, and it's Russian controlled navy base open. Will that firm & long term goal be more important than the support of Iran?

I've long been aware that the Soviet support for Islamic terrorism abroad, while fighting it at home, is based on the cynical notion that Russia can use Islamists against Western civilization, and then kill them once Russian goals are met. I also know Islamic acceptance of the role of Russian puppets is based on the cynical notion that they can be supplied by the Russian infidels, and when the time is right, turn on them and kill them to conquer Russia.

The knives in the back aspect of this unholy partnership is obvious to Putin. Whatever kind of monster he is, he's not a self blinded progressive. He's KGB, and as cynical and aware of the truth & lies as any leader in history.

He knows Iran's Mullahs will turn on him in a heart beat, he knows how much they hate his Empire, and that any loyalty is a sham to get support.

The question is, will he take Israel's offer of a bird in hand, Syria, for letting go of the snake in the bush?

quote:

Today’s press conference in Helsinki was one of the most disgraceful performances by an American president in memory. The damage inflicted by President Trump’s naiveté, egotism, false equivalence, and sympathy for autocrats is difficult to calculate. But it is clear that the summit in Helsinki was a tragic mistake.

President Trump proved not only unable, but unwilling to stand up to Putin. He and Putin seemed to be speaking from the same script as the president made a conscious choice to defend a tyrant against the fair questions of a free press, and to grant Putin an uncontested platform to spew propaganda and lies to the world.

It is tempting to describe the press conference as a pathetic rout – as an illustration of the perils of under-preparation and inexperience. But these were not the errant tweets of a novice politician. These were the deliberate choices of a president who seems determined to realize his delusions of a warm relationship with Putin’s regime without any regard for the true nature of his rule, his violent disregard for the sovereignty of his neighbors, his complicity in the slaughter of the Syrian people, his violation of international treaties, and his assault on democratic institutions throughout the world.

Coming close on the heels of President Trump’s bombastic and erratic conduct towards our closest friends and allies in Brussels and Britain, today’s press conference marks a recent low point in the history of the American Presidency. That the president was attended in Helsinki by a team of competent and patriotic advisors makes his blunders and capitulations all the more painful and inexplicable.

No prior president has ever abased himself more abjectly before a tyrant. Not only did President Trump fail to speak the truth about an adversary; but speaking for America to the world, our president failed to defend all that makes us who we are—a republic of free people dedicated to the cause of liberty at home and abroad. American presidents must be the champions of that cause if it is to succeed. Americans are waiting and hoping for President Trump to embrace that sacred responsibility. One can only hope they are not waiting totally in vain.

The first quote above is from Senator NoName, the third (directly below your post) is from AC/CNN, and the fourth quote above is from Rep. Adam Schitt.

There are plenty more like this out there on the 'net in response to today's presser with Trump and Putin.

It's been "Muh Russia!!!!!!!" for what seems like forever now, and the Deep's (including the Fake News Agencies) are all-in. Understandable, I guess: they're out of ammo, and about out of time.

I get a feeling The Awakening shifted into high gear today:

A couple more:

quote:

Neil Cavuto of Fox Business calls Trump's press conference "disgusting", "That sets us back a lot."

quote:

Axios' @jonathanvswan from Helsinki: "I just have no words. As press in this room, we are all sitting in here speechless and stunned...While Putin spoke forcefully, lying, Trump nodded along. There’s no way of sugar coating or spinning this."

Interesting comments from Putin:

quote:

For instance, we can bring up Mr. Browder, in this particular case. Business associates of Mr. Browder have earned over $1.5 billion in Russia and never paid any taxes neither in Russia or the United States and yet the money escaped the country. They were transferred to the United States. They sent [a] huge amount of money, $400,000,000, as a contribution to the campaign of Hillary Clinton. Well that’s their personal case. It might have been legal, the contribution itself, but the way the money was earned was illegal. So we have solid reason to believe that some [US] intelligence offers accompanied and guided these transactions, so we have an interest of questioning them.

I notice a lack of any connection to the Trump campaign. It's seriously a shame that Mueller's mandate is limited to investigating Russians linked to Trump. It would be pretty easy going after the Russians involved in putting together Hillary's fake dossier on Trump, or those who paid her hubby half a million dollars for a quick speech. Fortunately for Hillary, somehow Mueller's mandate exempted such investigation.

In other related news, I hear that new text messages are coming out that the Whitehouse (BO himself) was involved in the FBI's investigation of Trump right from the beginning. SURPRISE!!!
