I'm a little hesitant to post this here, but there are still some folks on this forum who don't hate Harleys. So, this is for those who might be interested: https://www.harley-davidson.com/us/en/events/racin g/racing-sticker.html I got the link from the XL Forum. The thread starter said he got his stickers in less than a week. Anyhow; I just thought I'd share this. |

Did it, but still not sure if these are worthy of my toolbox(s). I just like getting free stuff in the mail mostly. |

I'm mostly opposed to giving out my Email to miners. I used to always give out my zip code as "90210" Now I am too old to care and just tell them "nope" Just tried it with a fake mail and it worked. So "Hammer Time" at my current home address is getting some fresh stickers for my lawn tractor Each sticker is worth 5HP so I pretty much doubled that Briggs engine so far with the collection I already have. Well; I don't care if they know I'll be in the market for a new motorcycle in the next couple of years, and if I don't give them my address, they can't send me the stickers. When I did the Demo rides in Daytona, I had to give them that much information plus my Driver's License # as well. I had no Issues with giving that same info to Buell, Indian, Excelsior-Henderson, Triumph and several other manufacturers. Fer Chrissakes, if they want that information, it's readily available. The MoFoCo doesn't give that info out to spammers. Besides, I have a separate e-mail that I use for anything other than personal. There are people that use this forum who don't hate Harley - Davidson. I put that link up so that they could get something for free, if they want it. If you don't want the stickers, then don't click on it. |

I use a specific email address for things like this. Owning your own domain(s) allow you to create and delete accounts as you please and to track who sells that info. A P.O. box gives you some sort of anonymity as well. Don't have to use your real name either. |

What are you afraid 'they' will find out? For all that effort, it must be bad

>>>> if they want that information, it's readily available. That's an accurate statement . . . I can, as a construction worker, pretty much have anyone's tax return inside of 15 minutes. In addition . . . . I am quite aware that with all the security systems in 4 houses . . . the WiFi garage door openers that my better half can open from Milan, Italy . . the complete lighting, environmental . . . Navien Bluetooth hot water heater and 3 - 45kW Kohler backup generators with OnCue and Porsche ConnectPlus . . . that we ain't hiding anything. I also have all those TILE tags and am not unaware that every car with an ECM compile every time I depart a lane or change lanes without signaling and every time I leave the drive and put my seat belt on a mile down the road. I'm willing to trade a lot of info for convenience . . . I just draw the line at stickers. The good news is that I also understand that everyone has their own needs and levels of tolerance. I wasn't suggesting for a moment that anyone else not sign up . . but, for a guy with cases of Buell posters, stickers and t-shirts headed to Welch Sanitation . . . . I just am at full sticker capacity. Froggy got a taste of the Barn here a couple weeks ago and I'm not sure . . . as he and I wondered through . . that either of us had an inkling of what 30+ years of accumulation looks like. Perhaps I should start a free online "GET YOUR BUELL BATTLE OF CHAMPIONS GEAR" give-away. . . :-) |

Thank you If adding a Vtec sticker to my bike adds 7 horsepower, how many would I lose by adding a Harley one? |

Regarding data mining, I did a Harley demo ride last fall, they wanted everything short of birth certificate and DNA sample. In addition to the usual stuff you can find on my license, they wanted to know my race, and of course on the page where you enter what motorcycle you have now, Buell and EBR were nowhere to be found. After filling it all out, they give you a stupid plastic card with a barcode and you use that to reserve a bike for the demo. Every other company would just check my license, make me sign a basic waiver, then off I go to enjoy some bikes. |

I'm personally not worried that "THEY" will find me. "THEY" know where I live, what vehicles I drive and that I am a very bad consumer. I just get annoyed about people making money off of MY information. At least in this case I get some cool stickers. I'm also annoyed that any scumbag that knows how to use a computer can flood my inbox with useless email that I have to spend time dealing with. |

Crusty, thanks for posting the link to the free HD stickers. I like being able to get free stickers, and am not a complete hater of said company. If the MoFo company haters think about it just a little they could use their spite of the company to cost said company by requesting lots of the "free" stickers since nothing is really free... |

Court, should you wish to dispose of those Buell items that you plan on sending to Welch Sanitation I bet many members here would be more than happy to cover the cost of postage. |

I, personally, appreciate the link and spent all of 30 seconds filling out the requested information. Oh no, they need my address (to ship), my age (gasp!), and when I want to buy a bike next. SCANDALOUS! |

Actually a $25 mystery box would be kind of fun. Send Court $25 (or more), in a return postage paid box, and he will put in what he feels is worth $25(or more). Sort of like trick or treat. "I got a rock" |
