So that's Somo at 8 years old. There's also Sina at 14, which I realize is much older but still a great talent. It's just amazing to see young people playing this type of music.

I posted somewhere earlier on a QB thread that little Japanese girl... just amazing. Reposts appreciated. Her sense of rhythm and timing is incredible. The kick drum work just bends my mind.

I've always had a dream to become a jazz drummer, or at least learn keyboards... for drums, Omar Hakim is off the chain, and Kenny Kirkland on keyboards, just killer. RIP for Kenny, he died several years ago from opioids, but they both played together in Sting's "Dream Of The Blue Turtles" band. If you can find either or both the video and CD of "Bring On The Night", simply GREAT music.

Back OT: I agree completely Greg, I LOVE seeing young folk learning and appreciating REAL MUSIC. Seeing these young girls OWNING the drums on these songs brings warmth to my soul.
