Intrepid Reporter (me) rides his 06 Triumph Tiger to check out the old iron.
It was just so cool to see and hear this stuff.

The strange thing was a Royal Enfield won best of show!
I voted for the 1936 Tiger 90 but would have taken the 75 Trident home if I'd been given a choice in the matter.
The Trident didn't even have 3000 miles on it, the owner proudly pointed out the original tires which made me laugh. You might want to consider changing them if you plan on riding it much...

What year is that Triumph with the plunger frame? I didn't think Triumph made any bikes with plunger frames. I had a 1953 6T that originally came with a sprung hub rear wheel, but it was a rigid frame, and my 1957 TRW (500cc Flathead twin) also had a rigid frame.

Wait... That plunger framed bike has a unit engine. I know that's not a stock bike. The unit engine arrived in 1962 and swingarm frames were all Triumph was making.

Still, it's a beautiful custom.

Yes, a lot of work went into that one.
There are some really skilled people out there.

Speaking of custom, check out the fork on the Black Shadow (or maybe Lightning?):

wt...f! that is different.

My Dad and I went for a cruise a couple months back and stopped off at a Bakery and there was a BSA cruise parked up, and in classic motorcycle style they had a car and trailer in convoy for the obligatory breakdown... and there was already one loaded up!

Pics for interest

And our bikes totally not fitting in!

Great pics! Loved the 75 Trident as I have one in many pieces. It's no longer maroon and white but British Racing Green. I overhauled the engine 30 years ago, maybe I'll put it together someday!

Yeah, the Buell and Kawasaki do look like they're from the future!
Those old BSAs were such good looking bikes.
Here's the BSA raffle bike I didn't win last year.

Get that Trident going! It looks like something you could actually ride without being mowed down by a crazy lady in an SUV.
