I'm going to put 90° tire valve stems on the Roadster. I had them on my Guzzi Norge and really liked how much easier they made tire pressure checking and inflating. My friend Don has both an S3-T and an XB12XT. I'm fairly sure that the S3's wheels were made by Castalloy and the XT's wheels were made by Enkei; so does anybody know what size the holes in the rim for the valve stem are? I learned that the Roadster takes 8.3 mm (11/32") valve stems. I just have no idea what size the Buell wheels take. I do have a pretty strong suspicion that they will be different sizes, though. |

Crusty, I went to the Yamaha dealer and bought two 90 degree stems from them and put them on my old 91 Harley. Loved them! I tried putting a 90 degree automotive one on but it was way to heavy and caused too much of an imbalance. I thing it's pretty standard on sizing just get one made for a motorcycle, they're much lighter. |

Actually, there are three different sizes that fit Harleys, depending on year and whether it's a front or rear wheel. Check out this link: http://sportsterpedia.com/doku.php/techtalk:evo:wheels01#valve_stems (Message edited by Crusty on June 18, 2018) |
