That sounds like fun! I could enter in the Tourist class and just enjoy the ride... Maybe next year. Thanks for the link. |

Looks like a fun time. Maybe not so much folded up on a pit bike for 12 hours though. Wish I could lay my hands on an early 60's Honda CL/CB72. Or maybe a CRF230 with street biased tires. I circled Lake Superior last summer. A whole lot of nothing between Sault Ste Marie and Thunder Bay. Oops, no dual sports. (Message edited by Strokizator on May 28, 2018) |

This is the bike I would like to ride. The Suzuki Van Van, 200CC's of pure fun.

The Grom is pretty comfy. We raced one in a 24 hour race in 2015. On a go-kart track with the tight twisty course, it's like doing push-ups for your one hour shift. Compared to racing, cruising could be fun.

Not sure I understand the "no dualsports" rule.". This sounds fun. Need to find a small bike for next year. |

Perhaps the Canadians have made it "weird" with some legal thing? Imagine trying this on a Cushman? My dad told me that my uncle once rode his Cushman from Massachusetts to NY and back. Why did he go? because he could. what did he do when he got there? turned around. Why? barely enough money to get back. LOL. I did much the same thing with my KLR250. I think I had $4.50 in my pocket; I can only imagine that my uncle had much less as it was in the 50's. |

I couldn't find anything specifying how old "vintage" is. Honda Rebels have been around since 1985. I wonder if that would qualify? |

Did you look through their galleries? Those guys are seriously serious! Fuel cells on the back of a bike that gets 68MPG? Sick! Still baffled with the no dual purpose bikes rule. |

I’ll bet my Cushman would make it. I have the fabled 4.5hp Husky motor. It’s from the era.....as are the MG’s...... if it had fuel, compression & spark ..... it ran. Maybe good ..... maybe bad ...... but it ran. |

Meh. What kind of loser trailers his bike to a ride? |

I'll bet the "no dual sport" rule is to keep out something like a powerful 2 stroke supermoto. |

That's the coolest Rebel I've seen! Wonder if it might be the 450 instead of the 250... |

There's no class he could ride a 450 in other than tourist, so I doubt it. Those heads sure look big though. |

I want that trailer! Vintage was defined as 30 years or older so any 88 or older would be fine, lots of good stuff to chose from. |

Vintage is still limited to 250cc. |

GAWWD I love me some of those old 2smokes- I really need to schedule off when they rally here at Deal's Gap! IIRC one of the main MC mags did a piece on these old vintage bikes- they're old enough to be licensed and ridden here as antiques!! "Those heads sure look big though." I had the same thought. Been scanning this thread, so folks are limited to 250cc? Back when I worked as a buyer for a metric bike reseller, I bought just a couple of those Rebel 450's... they're hard to find. $1 says that's a cheater bike. |

Rules say the size of the engine is based on how the bike was born. You can do whatever you want, but you have to use the same bottom end. The example they give is a 50 that has a 70 big bore kit on it. Legal. I doubt they made a 450 big bore kit for a 250, so if it is a 450, yeah, cheater. |
